pa'o. In some places, from the clear distinction, they are words of plurality, namely, the heats, the peaks, the patiences, and the supreme dharmas. The word "becoming" is generally spoken in some places. Becoming, forms, and distinctions have the same meaning, like falling into water. Becoming heat, becoming peak, becoming patience, and becoming supreme dharma, and so on. These are also the limbs of the decisive discernment. Decisive means determining, that is, determining in one way. Its limbs are divided into four: small, medium, large, and the great of the great. Heat is like fire when rubbing wood, because it is the premonition of the fire of transcendental wisdom. The peak is the peak that shakes the root of existence. Patience is patience with the supreme of worldly dharmas. The supreme dharma is the supreme of all worldly dharmas. Again, the heats and so on are divided into twelve by small, medium, and large respectively. As it is said, "Great patience is one moment, so are the supreme dharmas," this is in terms of self-interest, it is for the Hearers, not for the Bodhisattvas. Because for the sake of others, the stage of sequence is possible, so there is no contradiction between this and that. The heats and so on are the cause for attaining the three enlightenments, because some people with weak faculties and so on can also attain inferior enlightenment. Therefore, the heats and so on of the Hearers and Solitary Buddhas never attain supreme enlightenment. Among them, the three heats are successively the nature of small, medium, and large aspirations. Again, the nine differences of aspirations, such as small of small, are for self-interest, that is, those who only accomplish their own benefit, and also have the nature of deliberately accomplishing the benefit of others. The three peaks have those nine aspirations on that kind of nature, which is for the benefit of self and others, and the combination here is interrupted. The three patiences have those nine aspirations on that kind of nature, which is for the benefit of others, here

Dedication is without obstacles, because whatever transforms is only for the benefit of others, and not to prevent one's own benefit. Since it does not contradict the benefit of others, it is able to perfect it. Therefore, in order to make the bodhisattva who cultivates the twenty-seven kinds of faith happy, the praises, respects, and praises made by the Buddhas and others, in whatever order, are exactly the twenty-seven kinds. For the supreme Dharma, the nature of all faiths becomes extremely strong, and faith arises in the subtle image. All mindfulness clearly gathers the merits of the bodhisattva. Since it does not go beyond the two truths, it is completely dedicated and serves as a part of perfect enlightenment. For the intermediate image, for the sake of the obvious increase of the merits completely dedicated by oneself, in the conventional truth, one focuses on the roots of virtue, and with a very joyful mind, in the ultimate truth, one rejoices in the absence of focus, thereby obtaining the decline of the deeds of merit of oneself and others. Sometimes, with the previous rejoicing, one can also completely dedicate, and there is no fixed order for this. Dedication and rejoicing are also present in desires and so on, but here, relative to them, these become more intense, and this is how they are distinguished. For the great image, starting from the nature where all faiths become extremely strong and reach the ultimate, since the mind has gained freedom, there is no attachment to self and what belongs to self, therefore the mind is tamed, and one does not cling to virtuous friends and others as self and what belongs to self, therefore one possesses non-arrogance, is able to suppress the afflictions of oneself and others, is not an object of harm done by demons and others, is able to cultivate perfect enlightenment, and makes one's own object of reliance into an object of offering, and this is how it is distinguished. Shantideva says that these six actions, such as taming the mind, are the path of meditation beyond the world. These are beneficial for relying on definite things, and conceptualization is only the affliction of bodhisattvas, therefore, conceptualization is relying on four kinds of afflictions.
