And so on, one abides by observing accordingly, and does not discriminate about the discriminations that possess the body and so on, and that is also in a way that does not focus. Here, the inner body is one's own six, such as the eyes. The outer is the compounded phenomena outside of one's own body. Both are the remaining elements belonging to one's own body and what is transformed from the elements. The three aspects of feelings and so on are due to the distinction of focusing on the three aspects of the body. Dharma is the virtuous and non-virtuous that arise from the mind. To observe the body and so on accordingly is to observe the nature of the body and so on. The discrimination that possesses the perception of the body and so on is, "This is the body, this is my body. It is permanent, it is impermanent, it is happiness, it is suffering," and so on, like this, which is also to observe accordingly without discriminating, that is, in a way that does not focus. And through the gate of being free from non-focusing, it is to be meditated upon by the Hearers and so on, as stated before. If so, then meditating on the dharmas of the aspects of enlightenment is only for those Hearers and Solitary Buddhas who have the support of nirvana, and not for the Bodhisattvas of the lineage, as it is said in the Sutra of the Manifestation of Miraculous Displays Asked by the Noble Manjushri: "Manjushri, in the future, there will be monks who, from impurity, will show the abiding of mindfulness by observing the body on the body, up to the point of saying, 'This alone is the ultimate truth.'" Is this so? This fault does not exist, because Bodhisattvas seek the meaning of having comprehended all dharmas, and because all dharmas are supremely non-focused, and because it is the cause of accomplishing benefit for sentient beings, they see qualities in samsara as in nirvana, and in nirvana as in samsara, it is not a basis for accomplishing benefit for sentient beings. Seeing the dissimilar, merely the nature of dharma, seeing the equality of samsara and nirvana, and so on, also meditate on the aspects of enlightenment only through the meaning of individually understanding the nature of non-focus. What the Bhagavan said in the Hundred Thousand Verses.

The so-called "abiding in non-perception," and so on. It is also said in that very sutra: Manjushri, whoever sees the body as equal to space, this is the mindfulness of observing the body on the body. Whoever does not perceive feelings, mind, virtue, non-virtue, and so on, up to Manjushri, should thus truly cultivate the four mindfulnesses. After that, whoever sees all phenomena as naturally peaceful and naturally undisturbed, this is right concentration. Manjushri, whoever thus truly observes from the mindfulnesses and so on up to the eightfold noble path, that person is called one who has crossed to the other shore. Furthermore, wanting to manifest complete enlightenment with the wisdom of omniscience that possesses all perfections, one should have faith in these teachings. In the Sutra on the Display of Inconceivable Buddha Lands, it is also said: Manjushri, how should the five faculties be observed? It is said: Son of the gods, whoever has faith in all phenomena as unborn, this is the faculty of faith. Whoever does not generate a distracted mind towards all phenomena, because they are free from the perception of distance and proximity, this is the faculty of diligence. Whoever does not lose mindfulness because they are free from all objects of attention, this is the faculty of mindfulness. Whoever, from all phenomena being uncreated to being without an object, this is the faculty of concentration. Whoever sees all phenomena as being free from birth, free from consciousness, and empty in nature, this is the faculty of wisdom. Similarly, the Blessed One also taught about the powers, the limbs of enlightenment, the limbs of the path, and the mindfulnesses. If the mindfulnesses can know all phenomena, then what is the use of all the other aspects of enlightenment? It is not like that, because they only fully understand the nature of those phenomena, but not in terms of the characteristics of impermanence and so on. Therefore, those of the Hearer Vehicle focus on the characteristics of impermanence and so on, while the Bodhisattvas do not focus on them.
