If one promises to believe, then recognition is a well-established valid cognition. If not? Then the apprehended and apprehender will not be established. If that is the case, then, since this also does not recognize things that did not exist before, is it not even temporarily a valid cognition? Not to mention direct perception. If it is established as non-different, then if it is said that differences are established by differences related to time and so on, then in that case, it should also not become a direct perception related to previous times and so on. If there is no memory, one will not think that it is this, and if there is no direct perception, then there is no trace of memory, so the self that pervades the previous and subsequent times cannot be established from direct perception. Furthermore, I have known, now I know, for this thought, knowledge is also refuted. That is, if it is not direct perception according to the Samkhya school's tenets, then how can the knower associated with previous and subsequent knowledge be established by direct perception? This is ignorance. Therefore, such recognition is not direct perception. Since it is not born from a sign, it is also not inference, therefore it is only inverted knowledge. Inverted knowledge should not be harmful to selflessness, and it is not good to argue and examine this. For this, there is no object in the ultimate sense, but by the power of false arrogance, it is only the object of the five aggregates. Therefore, what is the object of this? Is it the moment of previous knowledge? Or is it what exists now? Or is it both? Or is it the continuum? To distinguish and speak out against it in this way is irrelevant. If this inverted knowledge is without an object, then why does it not universally enter into everything? It is not, because only some formations have the ability to generate such knowledge. As Shantarakshita said: Some formations, for the attachment to that nature, will become the master of that nature, therefore it is not universally entered. As it is said. Also, inferring the self, the knowledge of form and so on has the same reason, because it is connected by the knowledge of 'I do', just like the eyebrow movements of a dancer of many people at the same time, know that that is also an uncertain sign.

It is not established for the sake of land. Like this, although it is a connection, it is not with a single reason, and there is no contradiction seen in this. If the connection is definitely established as having a single reason, then the knowledge derived from it is one that has a single reason, which is not established in any case. If it is said to be established on things with a single object, such as moving eyebrows, it is not established. Even if some knowledge of connection seems to have a single reason, by what means can it be said that all situations are like that? Because there is no valid cognition that harms the refutation. For example, I see, I hear, like this, viewers and listeners will generate knowledge that is determined to be the same author. This does not follow the view or inference that those different or simultaneous authors are the same, nor is it self-seen or inferred, if it is not with valid cognition, nor is it valid cognition, by what means can it be said that one should not transcend the things determined by attachment? If it is said that no connection is seen in various reasons, even if it is not seen, doubt cannot be prevented, because merely non-apprehension is valid cognition. On different reasons, only the connection can be seen, for example, the lamp that I saw in the evening, now it is still shining at midnight, like this, although the previous and subsequent views have a connection, they do not have a single reason. If it is said that because the author is the same, there is no error, that is not correct, because the error is spoken from thinking about different objects. This connection, like the author, also connects to the same action, and for this, it is difficult to prevent error by relying on the action. Here, for the time being, there is a single reason, so it is easy to prevent, if only because the author is the same, one admits the connection that the object of knowledge is not different, then it will become separated from the name of different objects. Therefore, this is an uncertain reason due to doubt and commonality about the refutation, according to the Yogacara school, because the example is not established.
