The nature is, arising from its power, merely manifested by realization. Thus it is said. Furthermore, some others assert that the consciousness with various appearances, devoid of the distinctions of inner and outer, prior and subsequent, blue and non-blue, is the sole ultimate truth. Then, how is the distinction between inner and outer? It is said: The so-called inner and outer depend on place and time. Since one does not realize one's own nature, place and time are not reasonable. Here, the differences such as prior and subsequent are also merely conceptual constructs, and realization is also experienced in one's own nature, therefore it is the nature of consciousness. For it, in the ultimate truth, it does not appear as different. The distinction between realization and another is not any realization. Because it is not included in the category of self-awareness, difference is not realization, because realization is characterized by self-awareness. Even if it is included in its category, it is not, because being different from oneself is contradictory. The difference between consciousness and object does not exist, nor is it created by prior things, etc. The nature of prior and subsequent cannot be established by direct perception. Thus it is said. Others think that the basis of self-grasping, as the object of clinging, the bliss that is completely clear within, etc., that itself is the consciousness of the ultimate truth, while the apprehended image, indicated by ignorance, devoid of one and many, is merely emptiness. Since it does not exist, the clinging, bliss, etc., that depend on it also do not exist. Merely the basis of self-grasping, the nature of mind is without appearance. The appearances of delusion appear like illusions created by magic. Thus it is said, it seems to be thought. Some think that the consciousness of the ultimate truth is itself without appearance. Moreover, that is not established by the experience of those who see this shore, but now it arises from the rootless of no conventional truth, from which it can be inferred. The nature of this is without appearance, and it is considered to arise without stain. That is not a wise person, so one can never know it. Thus it is said. Among these schools, not one deviates from emptiness, the noble Nāgārjuna.

The venerable one said: With the lion's roar of emptiness, all fearful adversaries, wherever they enter, emptiness is there. Thus it was proclaimed. Thus, the first view is untenable by the very perception that appears as distinct. As it is said: The proponent says, white, ugly, etc., appear as distinct, if the mind has not experienced distinctness, if there is no appearance of distinctness, then how? If there is no distinctness, then how? Thus it is said. Similarly, because others destroy the self-nature of others, because things are not seen, therefore it is not one. Seeing that mind and things are not different, it is certain that there is no difference. Thus it is said. Also, happiness, etc., are not different things, if things, etc., are held simultaneously, then why are the apprehended and the mind that appear different not different? Thus it was proclaimed. Here, the proposition is that whatever appears different from something is not non-different from that thing, just as happiness appears from suffering. The aspect of the apprehended also appears to be different from the aspect of the apprehender, which is to point out the contradictory difference. Moments, etc., are not uncertain, because for perception, it appears to be non-different from its own nature, and for the conceptual thought that does not hold the nature of things, there is no appearance. If delusion is not found, is existence not irreversible? Due to the power of ignorance, even non-difference will appear as difference. This is the ignorance of ignorance itself, called approaching to show the nature of inversion. This is unreasonable, because the appearance as inversion has already been prevented first, and for consciousness, there is a universal existence of multiple reasonableness. Consciousness appears as inversion on other things, but for consciousness, it is impossible for there to be another self-nature, if it is said that it is inversion itself, then how is it not madness? Furthermore, if consciousness appears as other, then it is not its own nature, even so, for the nature of having a unique appearance, it is unreasonable not to appear, and the appearance is also inverted. Because consciousness has no nature at all, striving to establish selflessness will become effortless. Furthermore, the non-difference of nature is also unreasonable, so different

According to those who say "it appears as an image," consciousness becomes confused about its own nature. Even so, since there is no self-awareness and other-awareness is unreasonable, in all cases, the appearance will be interrupted, and therefore everything will disappear. Other actions besides arising are also impossible, because all conditioned things are momentary. What action is there for impermanent things? Whatever is the cause of these, it is said that it is the action itself. Even so, appearing as different is also the arising of consciousness itself. Even so, only its own nature becomes different. For those who say it appears as another image, wanting to fall into dry land will cause them to fall into the mud. For those who speak childish words, respect is enough. Therefore, in this way, the first aspect is not reasonable. The second aspect is also unreasonable. If it is thought that the apprehended and the apprehender consciousnesses are different, then at that time, like other continuums, they will necessarily become mutually obscured. Since both of them are the ultimate of self-awareness, one will not even know what the other is saying. Even if they are mutually obscured, what fault is there? If it is said that the clinging of "I saw this" is unreasonable, then what contradiction is there in such clinging arising from the power of those two? If it is said that the same fault applies to other continuums, then it is not so, because that has no power over that, and if there is power, then the arising of the result is unavoidable. If you ask: How can this be on one cause? If you answer: Because it arises on one alaya consciousness. Then it should be said here: If they are mutually obscured, then they will not be directly perceived by one who realizes. According to those who speak of no-self, and especially according to the Yogacharas, there is no one who sees different from consciousness. The seer of the nature of consciousness is only other happiness and so on, and the others are only blue and so on, so those two will not become mutually obscured. If it is thought: Here, it is only not directly perceived by one who realizes. However, it is conceptual thought that assumes it to be so. Then, if that is the case, from the appearance of blue and so on existing in other continuums, it is apparent
