It is not known whether it is an object-possessing realm. Furthermore, if all consciousnesses are with an object, then none will become valid cognitions. If it is not a valid cognition because it apprehends as a different aspect, then, if it is apprehended as its own essence, how can it be a different aspect? But if it apprehends as the essence of another, since the essence of another appears, it apprehends only the other. That is not so. It is not apprehending the essence of another, but rather the manner of another? If that is the appearance of its own essence, then how is it the manner of another? If it is not, then how does this become its own? Apprehending one's own essence in a different place and time is indeed apprehending a different aspect, but it is not the essence of another? That is unreasonable, for the essence of this object that is related to whatever place and time, should be apprehended as only related to that place and time, and even then, how could it be completely cut off in another place and time? If that is not the case, then how can all consciousnesses be the apprehension of things as they exist, and therefore the distinction between valid and invalid cognition will disappear. Furthermore, in whatever place and time, the object understood by consciousness such as dreams is not in that place and time, and where it exists, it is not understood, so how can this be related to an object? If it is reasonable that only appearance is the object, then what does not appear is not, and if that is also an object, then the certainty of the object is unreasonable. If only appearance is the object, but it is in another place, then, where it appears, is that in another place? Or is it something that does not appear? For the time being, there is no other there, and if that is the case, then it is unreasonable for it to appear as a different aspect. Appearance without a body does not depend on anything, because the obstacle of embodied beings is the support. It is never connected with another support, because in all cases, self is the support. Even if another place and time is the support, since it is not anything of that place, only what abides in its own place and time will appear, and even then, how can it appear as a different aspect? If it is not so, then it is only the appearance of non-existence, and not the appearance of a different aspect. Because one desires to appear as a different aspect, one must necessarily accept the appearance of non-existence.

If existence appears in all ways, then it is unreasonable for it to appear in another way. If someone says that it appears even without being related to different places and times, then if this exists, then even without being related, it appears. If that is the case, it is also in accordance with worldly understanding, because the world only understands things that are not related, like water that does not exist in a mirage. If someone says that non-existence is not clear, because sky flowers are not seen, then things that are not related will not appear, and if that is the case, then appearing in another way will also not occur, and it is difficult to avoid the inference that sky flowers appear, because it can be said that it does not appear in another way, because sky flowers do not appear. Furthermore, if it itself appears as non-existent, then in relation, it does not appear as having opposition, but rather the related thing itself appears to depend on different places and times. Since it does not exist in that state, it is reasonable that only the non-existent appears, who can refute this? From this, it should not be refuted that the non-existent appears, because when the cognition of water and so on arises in mirages and so on, water and so on cannot be obtained. If the existent appears, then if this is only the cognition of water, then entering into it will not be deceptive. If someone says that it cannot be obtained near that place and time, then it will not be seen. If someone says that it exists in a different place and time, then why can't it be obtained? If someone says that it cannot be obtained in a different place and time, then how can it be seen? If it can be seen, then how can it not be obtained? Just as obtaining is the reason for the existence of a thing, so is seeing. Therefore, if existence depends on seeing, then why does non-existence depend on obtaining? If it exists, why is it not obtained? If it does not exist, why does it appear? If someone says that obtaining what exists elsewhere is not seen, then seeing is also not seen. If someone says that it only appears now, then why does obtaining not appear? If someone says that there is nothing to be obtained, then because the object of viewing is not different from the meaning of the object of seeing, it is unreasonable for it to not exist when it exists. Then, seeing will also not appear, because the blind
