It is not possible to realize being free from error, because it would also be inferred that there is nothing to be established, and even if the valid cognition is reversed, it cannot be established without meaning, and the reason with error, relative to a person who has not seen the error, it will also be inferred that there is no error, and relative to the person, if it is a reason and a similar reason, then the establishment of its object will collapse. So, smoke, etc., for fire, etc., even if the error is not seen, it cannot be established that there is no confusion about it, if you ask like this. It is not that it cannot be established, because these enter into dissimilar aspects, and merely not seeing is not not being confused, however, it is because it is related to what one wants to establish, and that is also a reason that arises from the meaning of what is to be established, not a reason that has not been seen. So, if not seeing is not taken as a valid cognition, then what arises from that will not be established, because the nature of cause and effect is the establisher of seeing and not seeing, if you ask like this. It is not, because there is no certainty of not being confused about that which is not related to that, and even if it is not produced from that, it is not allowed to be related to other real things. If it is thought that being related to that is possessed by other causes, or has no cause, then at that time, even if there is not that, it arises from other causes or suddenly, how will it become called a relation to the object of the desired relation? If that does not exist, it will not arise, that exists, if it arises, it is strongly established that it arises from that, then how can that be possessed by other causes or have no cause? And without arising from that, how is the relation? Furthermore, temporarily in one place, for what is not to be established, it is said that the reason is not seen, merely this is not not being confused about it, because the commonality of entering one aspect of the dissimilar aspect will also infer that there is no confusion about what one wants to establish. Therefore, for all that is not to be established, not appearing, that is not to say the cause of error, and that is also merely not appearing, so, for what arises from that, it is impossible to hate. Furthermore, is it not that seeing is not not being confused? Furthermore, what

Do things that are seen cause non-confusion? Or do they cause knowing? If they cause it, is it by their own nature of non-confusion, or by a confusing thing? Among these, if it is non-confused by its own nature, then what other function does it have? If a confusing thing causes non-confusion, then uncertainty will cease forever. But if it causes knowing, then how can it be said that this is non-confusing? To consider this to be without reason is not reasonable, because it would follow that everything is like that. Other than the reason arising from that, even if sought, is not found. If the reason is definite, then this is just a story. If there is no other name for non-confusion, and the reason for non-arising is used here, then that itself as the reason for itself is not reasonable. Therefore, the smoke and so on that possess non-confusion due to the reason arising from that should not be disparaged. How can it be said that the result itself is non-confusing just by seeing it? Then, is the result itself understood through the relationship arising from that? No, because the result alone is not established as the nature of the person, cause, and result. Only the distinctions of the result, such as pots, are seen to follow the appearance and disappearance of the person, but not just the result itself. It is said that the result itself is also seen in pots and so on, but it is not established that the person is a prerequisite. If that were the case, then since even just the thing itself is seen in that, even just the thing itself would become like that. That is not the case, because the thing itself also exists in permanent things such as space. If someone says that when the basis of the thing itself pervaded by the person is definitely experienced as being made by the person, then how can there be such a thing as permanence? If, because the thing itself is also seen in permanence, it is not considered that just the thing itself is a prerequisite for the person, then, since the result itself also exists in things not made by the person, such as the earth, then it is not just the result itself. If someone says that since things such as the earth are distinguished, this is not uncertainty, then what prevents things such as space from also being distinguished?
