It is named 'name' because of its reverence. Form, because it appears as form, this is form. What makes it appear as form? The answer is: the action of a stick touching and striking, etc., is all a manifestation. 'Name' and 'form' are name and form. So, what kind of dharmas are these, such as form? It is said: the five faculties and the five objects are the aggregate of form. Pleasant feeling, painful feeling, and neither painful nor pleasant feeling are the aggregate of feeling. The dharma that individually grasps various distinct characteristics is the aggregate of perception. Mental factors and other dharmas are the aggregate of formation. Eye consciousness and other consciousnesses are the aggregate of consciousness. These are the five aggregates. The six faculties and the six objects are the twelve sources. The six faculties, the six objects, and the six consciousnesses are the eighteen elements. The terms 'name' and 'form' refer to name, which is mentioned in the intermediate collection of dharmas, with one hundred and seventy-eight dharmas. For example, consciousness and feeling, etc. Fearing that the text would become too extensive, I have not written it. Form is that which is slightly demonstrable and that which is not demonstrable. Among them, the practice of attachment is mostly the fear of suffering, so it enters through the door of the aggregates. The practice of hatred is mostly the fear of affliction, so it enters through the door of the sources. Therefore, one should first cultivate patience from the perspective of the sources that initially became afflicted. The practice of equanimity is mostly the fear of suffering and affliction, so it enters through the door of the elements. Therefore, one should first cultivate patience from the perspective of suffering and affliction. For the practice of ignorance, one should first cultivate patience from the perspective of name and form. The practice of ignorance also leads to weak mind and dull faculties due to extreme ignorance. Therefore, merely knowing name and form, one can abandon them and become neither alarmed nor confused. The mind and faculties are vast, and the bodhisattva in his last existence enters through the door of the extremely profound dependent origination and cultivates decisive patience.

Oṃ. Now, concerning the yogi who cultivates patience through the aggregates, one should individually combine thirty-one aspects with the truths of suffering, origin, and cessation. How should they be combined? It is said that patience should be cultivated in two ways: extensively and concisely. In this regard, for each aspect, the yogi should first contemplate: because it is the nature of arising and ceasing, because it exists by the power of causes, because what has not arisen arises, because what has arisen decays, because it is an accumulation of particles, because it is not a collection of many parts, because arising, abiding, and ceasing follow, therefore form is impermanent. Feeling is also impermanent because it arises from what has not arisen, because it observes the three, because it experiences one, because forms and so on are distinct, because it arises due to the discrimination of the object of experience, and because it is the nature of ceasing, one should practice in this way. Perception is difficult to represent, because grasping the difference in the object of the cause of feeling is easy to represent, and because feeling and pleasure are one. Because perception is connected to the arising and ceasing of feeling, it is impermanent, and one should cultivate in this way. Then, formations are connected to the individual mental formations, and the mental formations are connected to arising and ceasing, and the mental formations are feeling and perception. The remaining similar corresponding formations are impermanent like feeling and perception because they are connected to them individually, and one should practice comfortably in this way. Therefore, consciousness arises before feeling, perception, and formations, and from where the mind arises, from there they arise. If consciousness were permanent, then impermanent feelings and so on would not gather. Therefore, consciousness is also impermanent like feeling and so on, and it should arise effortlessly. Afterwards, one should contemplate that consciousness is impermanent. In this way, when joy arises from the impermanence of each of them, one should also cultivate that two by two are also impermanent. For example, form is feeling, form is perception, form is
