Again it was said: The great omnipresent is ignorance. Doubt and the five views, the small omnipresent is the remainder, it is the ground of small afflictions. Thus it is said. Again, there are five aspects, namely: the great all-pervading, similar to the great all-pervading, the small all-pervading, like the small all-pervading, and the small ground. What is said to be omnipresent? The afflictions of suffering and the afflictions of origin in the three realms, that latent tendency is the great omnipresent. The afflictions of cessation and the afflictions of the path of that latent tendency are like the great omnipresent. What is said to be the small omnipresent? The five views and doubt, which are the afflictions of suffering and the afflictions of origin, are the small omnipresent. How can the afflictions of cessation and the afflictions of the path exist? They are like the small omnipresent. What is the meaning of how it exists here? It should be said that the view of self, the view of clinging to extremes, and the view of holding moral discipline and asceticism as supreme, these three views are not present everywhere, so it means like all-pervading. Ignorance to be abandoned by meditation in the three realms, and desire, hatred, and pride in the desire realm, by their very nature to be abandoned by suffering, origin, cessation, and meditation, are the five aspects. Desire and pride in the form realm are also the same five aspects. Similarly, there are five aspects in the formless realm. These are the small ground. Again it was said: What is said to be omnipresent? Possessing the small omnipresent, seeing the cause of suffering, how is it said to be abandoned, one should know. Here, the afflictions of cessation and the afflictions of the path, how they exist, etc., are like the omnipresent, etc. Whatever remains is the small ground. Thus it is said. Again, how should these be established as five aspects? It should be said that from where the agents of those have five aspects, namely: great object, similar to great object, small object, similar to small object, and small. The characteristics of the object, the omnipresent, etc., should be stated, the great all-pervading, etc., are great.

There are four aspects, namely: Great object itself, great cause itself, great latent itself, and great combination itself. Among them, the great all-pervading is that it cognizes all knowable things, so this is its great object itself. The great all-pervading is that it becomes the cause of those who are in harmony, in accordance, and in disharmony, that is the great cause itself. It latently follows all, so this is the great latent itself. The all-pervading also combines with all those who are in accordance, so this is the great combination itself. With these four great aspects, the six kinds of ignorance are the great all-pervading, namely: the suffering obstacle and the origin obstacle in the desire realm, the suffering obstacle and the origin obstacle in the form realm, and the suffering obstacle and the origin obstacle in the formless realm. The latent tendencies of the small all-pervading are the four great aspects, namely: the great object itself, the great cause itself, and the great latent itself. Because there is no great combination itself, it is called the small all-pervading. It is only the combination of ignorance, not mutual. Like the great all-pervading and the small all-pervading, there are two great aspects, namely: the great cause itself and the great latent itself of the three realms and those who are in accordance, etc. Ignorance is two great aspects, namely: the great non-object itself and the great combination itself. Views and doubts are one great aspect, namely: the great object itself. Then, this is the case with cessation and the obstacles to the path. Among them, ignorance is like the great all-pervading of the cessation of the three realms and the obstacles to the path. The three views of self-view, extreme view, and holding precepts and vows as supreme, and the obstacles of cessation and the path such as doubt are similar to this, and are the same as the small all-pervading. The latent tendencies of the small ground are the four great aspects, the same realm.
