Having made the realm of desire and the realm of form into one, the unspecified nature is the fifth wheel. The tactile object together with the realm, the consciousness of the body, becomes five kinds of wheels. The consciousness of mind also has five kinds. After that, the establishment of following and separately following does not exist, because it is the self-continuum of mind consciousness, and because it is the great sixth. Nose consciousness is four kinds after abandoning obscurations. Tongue consciousness is also like that, it is five kinds. Those are made into four kinds of wheels. So it is said. Again, how do form and so on transform into virtue and so on? It is to be said: the virtues and so on of form and so on are made by the mind. Thus, whatever manifestation is made by virtue, those are virtuous. Likewise, the arising of the mind of nature is nature, up to here. Among them, the manifest form and sound are five kinds of virtue and so on. The remaining form, sound, smell, taste, touch, and everything are unspecified in nature. Dharma is five kinds of virtue and so on. Again it is said: Form, sound, and dharma, virtue and so on have five kinds. The realms of smell, taste, and touch are unspecified in nature. Thus also, the virtue and so on of the bodily and verbal manifestations of these five aggregates of consciousness are made by the sixth. Likewise, what is to be abandoned by seeing suffering and so on is also made by the sixth. Why is that? Whatever manifest form and sound, and the aggregates of consciousness, are born from the mind that is to be abandoned by seeing suffering, those are to be abandoned by seeing suffering. Likewise, what is born from the mind that is to be abandoned by meditation is to be abandoned by meditation, and what is born from the mind that is without outflows is not to be abandoned, up to here. Non-manifestation is only to be abandoned by meditation. Eye consciousness is six kinds divided from what is to be abandoned, namely: what is to be abandoned by seeing suffering, and what is to be abandoned by seeing origination.

And, those to be abandoned by seeing cessation, those to be abandoned by seeing the path, those to be abandoned by cultivation, and those that are not to be abandoned. Similarly, for ear consciousness and mind consciousness, and for phenomena, there are six each. It is also said: Eye, nose, mind's consciousness, in mind and phenomena, by grasping what is not, it is six. Thus it is said. Among those such as eye consciousness, whatever is afflicted and its nature is said to arise from affliction. There are five types of these, namely, from the suffering obstacle up to what is to be abandoned by cultivation, as appropriate. Furthermore, whatever is not afflicted is what is to be abandoned by cultivation and what is not to be abandoned. Nose, tongue, and body consciousnesses are of two types, namely, what is to be abandoned by cultivation and what is not to be abandoned. It is also said: Nose, etc., mind has two types. Thus it is said. One aspect of revealing form and sound is what is to be abandoned by cultivation. It is also said: Non-action form is abandoned by cultivation. Thus it is said. Revealing form of the body and revealing form of speech, in terms of what is to be abandoned, are of five types. It is also said: Revealing form is of five types. Thus it is said. Non-restraint is also of five types in terms of what is to be abandoned. In this regard, the non-correspondence of the five form sense faculties is non-restraint. The five aggregates of consciousness, and the co-emergence correspondence of their respective functions, is non-restraint. The great sixth is also co-emergence correspondence and extreme non-correspondence. The three, smell, taste, and touch, these are all to be abandoned by cultivation. Thus it is said. The sixteenth chapter called "Discernment of Non-Latent Tendencies" from "The Determination of Conditioned and Unconditioned" compiled by the great Pandit Ten Powers Glorious Spiritual Friend, from the mode of scriptural authority of the sect revered by many noble ones. Latent tendencies also have four establishments, namely, the establishment of phenomena, the establishment of characteristics, the division of realms, and the division of what is to be abandoned. Among these, the establishment of phenomena is the ten latent tendencies, namely, desire, anger, pride, ignorance, wrong view, self-view, extreme view, view of holding views as supreme.
