Having origination and cessation as the beginning of observation, thereby observing all formations. At that time, what is the wisdom of enjoyment belonging to lineage? The wisdom of lineage enjoyment immediately sends out the samadhi of the fruit of nirvana. Relying on what to cultivate the path, one abides in what, thereby becoming the samadhi of the fruit. What is attention? It is attending to the nature of the unconditioned nectar. What is the cause of the samadhi of the meditator? There are two causes of meditation, namely, not attending to all signs, and attending to the nature of signlessness. What is the cause of abiding? There are three causes of abiding, namely, not attending to all signs, attending to the nature of signlessness, and the previous manifestation. What is the cause of arising from samadhi? There are two causes of arising from samadhi, namely, attending to all signs, and not attending to the nature of signlessness. What is worldly samadhi, or supramundane samadhi? It is supramundane samadhi, not worldly samadhi. The fifteen questions about the samadhi of cessation of perception and feeling are as follows: What is the samadhi of cessation of perception and feeling? What is samadhi, and what is not samadhi? Relying on what power does one enter samadhi? What formation ceases and one enters samadhi? What does this meditator do beforehand? For what purpose does one enter samadhi? How does one enter samadhi? How do these arise? With what mind does one arise? After arising, what does the mind incline towards? What contact does one touch? What formation arises first? What is the difference between the cessation of feeling and perception and the cessation of contact? What is samadhi? Is it conditioned or unconditioned? Here it should be said that the state in which the mind and mental factors do not function and abide is the samadhi of cessation of perception and feeling. What is samadhi? Arhats and non-returners enter samadhi. These people with samadhi

It is completely accomplished. What is not entering into absorption? It is the ordinary person, the stream-enterer, the once-returner, and those born in the formless realm. Among them, the ordinary person is not in absorption because it is not the object. The stream-enterer and the once-returner are not in absorption because the afflictions that are not conducive to samadhi have not been completely cut off. Those born in the formless realm are not in absorption because there is no entity that arises later. Entering into absorption with strength means with two strengths: the strength of calm abiding and the strength of insight. Among them, with the strength of calm abiding, the four dhyanas and the four formless absorptions can be mastered. With the strength of insight, the seven contemplations can be mastered. Among them, the seven contemplations are as follows: contemplation of impermanence, contemplation of suffering, contemplation of selflessness, contemplation of disenchantment, contemplation of detachment, contemplation of cessation, and contemplation of निश्चितप्रहाण (Sanskrit Devanagari: निश्चितप्रहाण, Sanskrit Romanization: niścitaprahāṇa, English literal meaning: certain abandonment). Among them, the strength of calm abiding is for the purpose of eliminating the limbs of dhyana and for the purpose of believing in immovability. The strength of insight is for the purpose of seeing faults in those who enter and for the purpose of believing in those who do not enter. Entering into absorption by stopping the activities means entering into absorption after the three activities have stopped, namely, the activity of speech, the activity of body, and the activity of mind. Among them, for those who have entered the second dhyana, the activity of speech, conceptualization and analysis, will cease. For those who have entered the fourth dhyana, the activity of body, exhalation and inhalation, will cease. For those who have entered the cessation of perception and feeling, the activity of mind, perception and feeling, will cease. What are the previous actions of this? There are four previous actions, namely, single binding, absence of harm, complete cessation of time, and discrimination between karma and non-karma.

It is a viewing. Among them, the so-called "single binding" is to bless the alms bowl and Dharma robes, etc., to be united with the body and discipline. The so-called "no harm" is to bless that no matter what kind of action, it will not cause any harm to the body. The so-called "complete time limit" is to fully measure the strength of the body and then set a complete time limit to abide by. That is to say, "One should rise from extinction at this time." The so-called "observing karma and non-karma" is to bless that after obtaining the complete time limit, when the Sangha gathers for certain karma and non-karma matters, they should rise by the sound of striking the ghanta. The so-called "why enter into samadhi" is for the sake of dwelling in bliss in the present Dharma. Dwelling in bliss in the present Dharma is to make the samadhi gatherings of those noble ones extremely unshakable, or to enter into samadhi for the sake of cultivating supernatural powers. The so-called "how to enter into samadhi" is for the sake of cessation, with the desire for cessation, they go to a secluded place, either sitting or lying down, focusing their minds, and enter into the first dhyana. After rising, they immediately observe those dhyanas, from impermanence, suffering, and selflessness, to the wisdom of equanimity of action. Likewise, they enter into the second dhyana, the third dhyana, the fourth dhyana, the sphere of infinite space, the sphere of infinite consciousness, and the sphere of nothingness. After rising, they immediately observe that samadhi, from impermanence, suffering, and selflessness, to the wisdom of equanimity of action. Then, immediately, they enter into the sphere of neither perception nor non-perception. Then, in the sphere of neither perception nor non-perception, they dwell in the mind twice or three times, and the activity of the mind ceases. The non-operation and cessation of the mind is called entering into the cessation of perception and feeling. The so-called "how does its rising occur" is like this, because of the intention "I shall rise." However, when the complete time limit made earlier is obtained, then one rises.
