is the measure of the desire realm. The palace of the third dhyana is the measure of the two thousand worlds. The measure of the palace of the fourth dhyana is the three thousand great thousand worlds, and so on. The measure of the first dhyana and the three palaces is the measure of the small thousand and so on. Some say that the palace of the fourth dhyana is immeasurable. In this regard, the gods born in the lower realms cannot see the palaces of the upper realms. Only the gods born in the upper realms can see the palaces of the lower realms. One can go to the upper realms by means of magical powers or by possessing magical powers. Those born in the upper realms come and see, but not the upper realms. The so-called upper realms are also not visible. The formless realm is the ground and the four spheres. Namely: the ground of the sphere of infinite space, the ground of the sphere of infinite consciousness, the ground of the sphere of nothingness, and the ground of the sphere of neither perception nor non-perception. The pervasiveness of the sphere of infinite space, the pervasiveness of the sphere of infinite consciousness, the pervasiveness of the sphere of nothingness, and the pervasiveness of the sphere of neither perception nor non-perception. The boundary of the world system thus formed does not exist, and there are as many world systems as there are space realms. These establishments are not the world systems in the ten directions and above and below with space or intervals, the world systems are destroying and forming. It is also said that above the realm of neither perception nor non-perception there is also the desire realm, and below the desire realm there is also the realm of neither perception nor non-perception. From the abodes of the Four Great Kings and so on up to the end of Akanistha, the measure of the lower and upper twenty-three abodes should be stated. For example, the fourth level is the basic abode of the Four Great Kings, from here there are forty thousand yojanas. From there to the Jambudvipa below, as far as it is, so far to the abode of the Thirty-three above. From there again to the Jambudvipa below, as far as it is,
