A person without equal. A person who is unequal and equal. A person without rival, and so on. An ordinary person is both a learner and not a learner; one should not say "learner," nor should one say "non-learner." The Three Jewels are: the Buddha Jewel, the Dharma Jewel, and the Sangha Jewel. Among these, there are two Buddhas: the ultimate truth and the conventional truth. The first of these has three aspects: the nature of the Dharmakaya, the nature of the Sambhogakaya, and the nature of the Nirmanakaya. The nature of the Dharmakaya has two aspects: unconditioned and conditioned. That which is unconditioned is to be understood as the very nature of the Buddhas arising from the complete purity of suchness, which is itself the ultimate truth. That which is conditioned is the Dharma nature body, the ten powers, the fearlessnesses, and so forth, the Dharma nature of the Buddha's activities, to be known as completely pure. The nature of the Sambhogakaya is perfectly adorned with marks and signs, and is the realm of activity of the great Bodhisattvas abiding on the ten bhumis, which is the Rupakaya. The nature of the Nirmanakaya is the realm of activity of all ordinary beings, perfectly adorned with marks and signs, and is the Rupakaya itself, such as Shakyamuni Buddha and others. The conventional Buddha also has four aspects: relics, stupas, Buddha images, and caityas. "The Bodhisattva body and the five bodies," say the followers of the Bodhisattva Vehicle. The Dharma is of two kinds: the ultimate truth and the conventional truth. The first of these is unique, namely Nirvana. The conventional truth has two aspects: the correct path and the words of the Buddha. Furthermore, the Dharma has two aspects: the Dharma of transmission and the Dharma of realization. The Dharma of transmission is the words of the Buddha. The Dharma of realization is sixfold: heat, peak, forbearance, the highest worldly Dharma, the path of seeing, and the path of meditation with its fruit. The Sangha is of two kinds: the ultimate

And the imputed. There are two that are truly existent: the Sangha of Hearers, the eight Great Person Individuals, and the assembly of Great Bodhisattvas who are irreversible. The eight Great Person Individuals are: Stream-enterer Fruition- aspirant, Stream-enterer Fruition, Once-returner Fruition-aspirant, Once-returner, Non-returner Fruition-aspirant, Non-returner, Arhat Fruition-aspirant, and Arhat Fruition. There are five irreversible Bodhisattvas: those with pure superior intention, those who abide in signlessness with effort, those who abide in signlessness without effort, those who have entered into definite conduct, and those who are definitely obstructed by one birth. Those with superior faith are also said to be irreversible Bodhisattvas. Separating these five Bodhisattvas individually, as previously stated, the twenty individuals such as those who follow faith are the Sangha. There are three imputed Sanghas: the Sangha of ordinary beings who have superior faith but are not determined for perfect enlightenment, ordinary Bhikshus, and the Sangha of ordinary Bhikshunis. Therefore, this itself is the Three Refuges: Refuge in the Buddha Jewel, Refuge in the Dharma Jewel, and Refuge in the Sangha Jewel. Taking refuge in the Three Jewels is for the purpose of protecting from the eight fears. The eight fears are: the fear of all afflictions, the fear of all misdeeds, the fear of falling, the fear of all harm, the fear of all bad destinies, the fear of all conforming bad destinies, the fear of the view of the perishable aggregate, and the fear of the Lesser Vehicle. The eleventh chapter of "The Determination of the World of the Noble Ones" from "The Determination of Conditioned and Unconditioned Phenomena," compiled by the Great Pandit Ten Powers Glorious Knowledge Friend. The Four Noble Truths are: the Noble Truth of Suffering.
