Among them, the nature of the all-pervasive affliction of cause has two all-pervasive afflictions, namely: the all-pervasive affliction of affliction and the all-pervasive affliction of karma. The nature of the all-pervasive affliction of effect has one, namely: the all-pervasive affliction of birth.

The limb of name and form, the limb of the six sense sources, the limb of contact, the limb of feeling, the limb of birth, and the limb of aging and death. Furthermore, dependent origination is of twelve natures, namely: Whatever is the state of all the afflictions of the immediately preceding past life is not. Whatever is the state of all the actions that take rebirth in the immediately preceding past life is the limb of formation. The state of the five aggregates at the time of conception in the mother's womb is the limb of consciousness. The state from the time of conception until the six sense sources have not arisen is name and form. After that, when the six sense sources are complete, the state until the senses, objects, and consciousness have not gathered is the limb of the six sense sources. The state where the senses, objects, and consciousness meet and the three gatherings cannot be completely cut off is contact. The state where the three feelings are completely cut off and sexual desire has not arisen is the limb of feeling. The state of universally practicing sexual desire is the limb of craving. The state of starting to search for the sake of obtaining any object and running everywhere is the limb of grasping. The state of running everywhere for the sake of obtaining any object, thereby creating actions that take rebirth, etc., is the limb of existence. For birth, whatever is the state of consciousness in this life, the state of the immediately following future birth is the limb of birth. Whatever is the state of name and form, the six sense sources, and feeling in this life, the immediately following future birth is the limb of aging and death. Furthermore, dependent origination is mutually causal, for example: From the condition of ignorance arises formation, from formation from the condition of formation arises consciousness, from consciousness arises name and form, from name and form arises the six sense sources, from the six sense sources arises contact, from contact arises feeling, from feeling arises craving.

Due to craving, there is grasping; due to grasping, there is existence; due to existence, there is birth; due to birth, there is aging and death. Therefore, similarly, due to birth, there arise aging and death, sorrow, lamentation, discomfort, and disturbance. It is said that in this way, a great mass of suffering completely arises, which is in accordance. "Completely" means being separate from the self and what is thoroughly conceived by others. The non-accordance is that with the cessation of ignorance, actions cease; with the cessation of actions, consciousness ceases; with the cessation of consciousness, name and form cease; with the cessation of name and form, the six sense sources cease; with the cessation of the six sense sources, contact ceases; with the cessation of contact, feeling ceases; with the cessation of feeling, craving ceases; with the cessation of craving, grasping ceases; with the cessation of grasping, existence ceases; with the cessation of existence, birth ceases; with the cessation of birth, aging and death, sorrow, lamentation, suffering, discomfort, and disturbance cease. Similarly, a great mass of suffering completely ceases. "Completely" means being separate from the self and so forth that is thoroughly conceived by others. Furthermore, ignorance has two aspects of results that abide separately, such as, the object makes sentient beings completely deluded. It also gives rise to the cause for the sake of perfecting actions. Actions also have two aspects of results that abide separately, such as, it makes manifest the ripening of the future, and it also gives rise to the cause for the sake of perfecting consciousness. Consciousness also has two aspects of results that abide separately, such as, it generates the connection of existence itself, and it also ripens the cause for the sake of perfecting name and form. Name and form also have two aspects of results that abide, such as, they also mutually indicate closeness, and they give the cause for the purpose of accomplishing the six sense sources. The six sense sources also have two aspects of results that abide.
