The self-existent one alone becomes enlightened, and "self" means self-arisen. Teaching the Dharma without sound. There are two types of Pratyekabuddhas: those who are in accordance with the Pratyekabuddha and the Dharma, in order to clarify the Buddha's teachings equally for oneself and others. The other is to manifest as a Pratyekabuddha. Therefore, those who enter the stream for the fruit of entering the stream, those who enter the stream, those who enter the stream for the fruit of once-returning, those who once-return, those who enter the stream for the fruit of non-returning, those who do not return, and those who enter the stream for the fruit of Arhatship, are the seven types of individuals. In detail, there are nineteen types. Including the Pratyekabuddha, there are twenty types. In order to gather the learners, it is the noble Sangha of the non-retrogressing Bodhisattvas. Together with the gods and the world with demons, with the practice of Bodhi lower than the earth and with non-virtuous dharmas, it is inseparable and unseizable from the truly perfect Bodhi. In some places, it is said that the Vajra-like Samadhi is the non-learner, because the non-learner is the uninterrupted path to liberation and Buddhahood. Ordinary beings are both learners and non-learners, and cannot be said to be learners. So, are the past, future, or present minds liberated? It is said that the future mind is arising, and the non-learner is liberated from obscurations. So, what is it that arises from the stage of the path and abandons obscurations? It is said that it is like something that is ceasing. So, the eighth bhumi is said to be non-retrogressing, how is it all here? It is said that Bodhisattvas with sharp faculties, in the stage of ordinary beings, on this side of the stage of adhimukti-caryā, also through meditating on śamatha and vipaśyanā, are certain to reach the Prajñāpāramitā, and because they possess great compassion and have perfected the two accumulations, the joy that is constantly manifest is non-retrogressing. Those with medium faculties are non-retrogressing in the supremely joyful bhumi. Those with dull faculties are non-retrogressing in the immovable bhumi. Some say that after a long time, everything is non-retrogressing.

To arise for the sake of returning is to return. Not returning is not so. Furthermore, the nature of the Dharma, such as the supreme enlightenment of realization, has five aspects, namely: accomplishment, arising, thought, inconceivability, and complete accomplishment. It should be understood that the Ornament of the Sutras teaches through five examples. Therein, the order of the arising of wisdom, such as the nature of hearing the Great Vehicle that is complete in every way, eliminates all inverted thoughts, and by relying on the Three Jewels of Refuge, it purifies obscurations and realizes special qualities such as clairvoyance, recognizing it as the cause for enjoying the wealth of the noble ones. Thus, by diligently accomplishing the mind with aspiration and so forth, as far as possible, by accomplishing the ground of practice with devotion, the essence of the arising of the mind, like excellent gold, causes supreme joy to arise. In the Extremely Joyful Ground, with pure superior intention, the afflictions to be abandoned by seeing, arising from special solitude, make arising manifest, and arising is the very essence of suchness, like a blooming lotus. That itself is diligently abiding in the signless ground, contemplating in the six grounds such as the Immaculate Ground, the two accumulations being powerful are like eating well-prepared food. Without effort, abiding in the signless ground, in the three grounds such as the Immovable Ground, the complete maturation of previous accumulations is inconceivable, like a well-written letter. In the Buddha Ground, there is complete accomplishment, obtaining the nature of enlightenment, the all-knowingness of all aspects, abandoning all obscurations, like opening the door of a jewel box, which is to show the Buddha. Thus, the aspects of realization of the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas are endless and limitless, and because there is no power to speak even a small part of them, it is stopped. It should be briefly stated, namely: the Dharmas of realization are one because they are one in the Perfection of Wisdom, so the aspect is one. With the distinction between the world and what is beyond the world, and with the distinction between cause and effect, the aspects are two. The aspects are three, namely the three states of suchness, namely: in the state of ordinary beings, the state of suchness is impure.
