Maṁ (藏文,梵文天城体,梵文罗马拟音,汉语字面意思) has the function of abandoning afflictions by the principle of driving out thieves from the outside. The eight consciousnesses have the function of covering the door bolt by reason. Among them, in the four Dharma knowledge acceptances, there are desire and anger in the desire realm, as well as arrogance, ignorance, doubt, view of the perishable collection, view of clinging to extremes, wrong view, view of holding views as supreme, and view of holding precepts and vows as supreme. Ten each, a total of forty kinds of afflictions are completely eliminated. In the four subsequent knowledge acceptances, except for anger, there are nine in the form realm, nine each, which are four nines. Similarly, the four nines of the formless realm, these are seventy-two kinds of afflictions that are completely eliminated. Therefore, one hundred and twelve afflictions are to be abandoned by the path of seeing. These sixteen moments of arising mind are the direct realization of the truth. In those fifteen moments, the eighth-ground bodhisattva enters for the sake of the fruit of entering the stream, there are two ways. For example: The first is that those with dull faculties follow faith, because they cultivate its path with faith. The second is that those with sharp faculties who do not regress follow the Dharma, which is obtained by seeing. Dharma and seeing are wisdom. They cultivate its path for the sake of it. The sixteenth moment abides in the fruit of entering the stream. The fifteen arising minds from the sixth onwards are the transcendental path of cultivation. Among them, whenever the nature of conditioned and unconditioned phenomena are the same, just as they cannot be said to be different from each other. How is it said that the objects directly realized by the path of seeing are not different, because what is focused on is not the difference between the path of seeing and the path of cultivation, so the path of cultivation is established as having characteristics. Even so, the path of cultivation is the antidote to the objects to be abandoned by cultivation, so it must be cultivated by the law of dependent origination. Therefore, with the path of seeing, continuously

Knowing is cultivation. That itself is the path. Here, co-emergent attachment, and anger, and ignorance, and co-emergent view of the perishable aggregate, and wrong view. In the Abhidharmasamuccaya, the three views of clinging to extremes, the view of clinging to extremes is a distinction of wrong view. Here also, the inverted view of clinging to things as being truly pure is taken as wrong view. Denying cause and effect is not, thus those are the six afflictions that operate in the desire realm. That which operates in the form realm is the five that have abandoned anger. The five that operate in the formless realm, thus the sixteen afflictions are to be abandoned by cultivation, they are abandoned in stages. It is a latent tendency, not a decline of pervasive activity, because it was already diminished before. Here, in the desire realm, the six afflictions such as attachment are divided into three types by the distinction of large, medium, and small. Again, each is divided into three types by the distinction of large of large, etc., becoming nine types. Likewise, the five such as attachment. The other form and formless realms each have nine types. The nine grounds of samsara such as the desire realm each have nine types, the aspects of affliction become eighty-one. The antidote to those is that it necessarily destroys the faults that are arising, so it is contrary to faults. The path of cultivation that was spoken of immediately after that, by reversing the aspects of the unfavorable side, the small, medium, and large, etc., are again divided by the distinction of small of small, etc., becoming eighty-one types. Here, stainless light-maker, light-radiating, the nature of the difficult-to-tame ground, realizing the first four aspects of the path, that itself is stream-entry, becoming two types. For example, whoever, by skillful means, is born among humans as a large sala tree of the kshatriya caste, or a large sala tree of the brahmin caste, or a large sala tree of the householder caste, that is birth from the human caste. To be born in the six desire heavens, which are the objects of desire, that is birth from the caste of the gods. Realizing the nature of the ground where the five aspects have become manifest is entering for the sake of the fruit of once-returner. Six
