Thus it is. Among them, the Bodhicitta that takes practice as its essence is definitely a good and manifest cause, therefore it is an extremely great fruit. Thus it is established. Therefore, it is said in the 'Brave Giving Question Sutra': 'Whatever Bodhicitta, if its merit had form, it would fill the realm of space, and would still surpass that merit. In Buddha lands as numerous as the sands of the Ganges, if someone were to fill them with precious jewels and offer them to the World Honored One, it would not compare to a single joining of palms for the sake of Bodhicitta, this offering is supremely boundless.' Thus it is. In the Holy 'Akasagarbha Sutra' it is also extensively said: 'Noble son, the Bodhicitta is the seed of all the Buddha's teachings.' Furthermore, like a Bodhisattva, just as a blind person holding a lamp can benefit others, so too, knowing the meaning that is not obvious, obtaining and upholding it, first determining the meaning, and then taking vows, is the generation of Bodhicitta. Therefore, for a Bodhisattva who has generated true Bodhicitta, just as a bell that does not discriminate makes a sound, but is destroyed by thieves like the morning, similarly, a learned person who does not discriminate and only possesses sound is destroyed by the thieves of afflictions, therefore one should diligently practice. Youth, for those who take practice as their essence, it is not difficult to attain the unsurpassed, perfect, and complete Bodhi. As it is said in the 'Samadhiraja Sutra'. Practice, in short, is cultivating Bodhicitta and practicing the six perfections such as generosity. There are twenty-two aspects of Bodhicitta, namely: The first Bodhicitta is characterized by having aspiration, seeking perfect Bodhi for the benefit of others, like the earth, because it is the foundation of all Buddha's teachings and the accumulation of merit and wisdom. The second is having thought, like pure gold, encompassed by the six perfections.

Because the thoughts of benefit and happiness in the past and present do not depend on change. Ā means reaching perfect and complete enlightenment. Śa means unchanging. After knowing Āśaya, there are also three types of thoughts, namely: wanting to make offerings to the Tathagata is the complete thought, the thought of enjoying the Buddha-field, and the thought of all sentient beings being happy. Similarly, many other classifications of thoughts are not discussed here, because there are too many and it is frightening. The third is the thought that arises for the sake of particularly profound understanding, which is the superior thought, and corresponds to it. The four dharmas on the white side are like the moon, just as the waxing moon of the first day of the white side increases, because this mind obtains the increase of virtues. These three bodhicittas correspond respectively to the four mindfulnesses, the four right abandonments, and the four legs of miraculous power. The wisdom of hearing and thinking nature reaches the stage of perfection, and the roots of virtue corresponding to the part of liberation are the initial path of accumulation. Accumulation is armor-like practice, which is the mind of aspiration. The other nineteen bodhicittas are the entering mind. The fourth is corresponding to the practice and corresponding to the superior thought, like fire, just like the fire of special firewood, because it makes the practice particularly superior. That is the ground of conduct by faith. The path of practice of the Joyful Ground, the nature of worldly meditation, is the path of discipline with outflows. Discrimination is manifestation, and discrimination is the path of seeing. A part of it is the image, therefore it is beneficial. The part of discrimination corresponds to the five faculties such as faith and the five powers, and is the practice of entering. The fifth is transcending the world, corresponding to the flawless perfection of generosity, like a great treasure, because with the Dharma and endless enjoyment, it can completely satisfy countless sentient beings and never be exhausted. The Bodhisattva sees himself approaching enlightenment in this, and sees the accomplishment of the meaning of sentient beings and is extremely joyful, hence it is called the Path of Seeing of the Joyful Ground.
