Feces, stomach, intestines, small intestine, large intestine, excrement, urine, tears, dust, fat, phlegm, snot, pus, blood, bile, phlegm, oil, dirt, saliva, eye mucus, earwax. For this body, one should contemplate it separately as it truly is. Among them, the Three Jewels are the refuge. Discipline and generosity are the foundation. The gods are the masters. Disgust, death, and not exhaling. Entering the body and the recollection of the breath moving in and out, one will not forget. Among them, through four causes, one remembers the Buddha during the day. As follows: diligently striving for the side of virtue, the ritual of offering, recollecting the image, recollecting the benefits. How one is accustomed to remembering the Buddha without sleeping during the day, then even when sleeping, one will see dreams in the same way. Remembering the Buddha and others has seven benefits. As follows: one will be able to remember past lives, have great joy, feel regret for inferior dharmas, not feel remorse at the time of death, and after the body is destroyed, one will be reborn in the happy realms of higher worlds, becoming a god. Focusing on sentient beings in the desire realm and the form realm are the four Brahmaviharas. Likewise, focusing on immeasurable sentient beings are the four immeasurables. As follows: loving-kindness, compassion, joy, and equanimity. Among them, loving-kindness is the wish to have happiness. Compassion is the wish to be free from suffering. Joy is the wish not to be separated from happiness. Equanimity is the wish to be without afflictions. These four are focused on sentient beings on the ground of practice with intention. In the seven grounds of great joy and so on, the focus is on the Dharma. Above that, there is no focus. In the Sutra of the Noble Inexhaustible Intelligence, three types of equanimity are also explained. As follows: in order to abandon afflictions such as gain and loss, the eight worldly dharmas, etc., it is the equanimity of afflictions. In order to practice patience, it is the equanimity of guarding one's own nature. Equanimity of time and non-time.
