It is abandoning what has form. Like sprouts arising from the exhaustion of seeds. The "Determination of the Conditioned and the Unconditioned," compiled by the great Pandit Ten Powers Glorious Spiritual Friend, from the perspective of the Vinaya of the Sarvastivada school, revered by many noble ones, called "Determination of the Noble Truths," is the twenty-first chapter. The divisions of the path of the Bodhisattva Vehicle are many, such as: Paramitas, factors of enlightenment, emptiness, meditation, formless absorptions, the eight liberations, the successive abidings in absorption, the overcomings, the cessations, the samadhis and wisdom, the faculties, the samadhis, the immeasurables, the riches, the discriminations, the eyes, the superknowledges, form, mastery, and so forth, and formations such as feeling and thought. For example: feeling, thought, contact, attention, desire, aspiration, faith, diligence, mindfulness, samadhi, wisdom, discrimination, investigation, conscientiousness, weariness, joy, pliancy, non-harming, shame, embarrassment, liberation, roots of virtue, wisdom, patience, and so forth. Among these, the Paramitas are six, namely: the Paramita of Generosity, the Paramita of Ethics, the Paramita of Patience, the Paramita of Diligence, the Paramita of Meditation, and the Paramita of Wisdom. Giving arises from two reasons, namely: giving for the sake of offering, and giving for the sake of taking hold. Giving becomes bad due to four reasons, namely: giving out of desire for gain, giving out of fear, giving out of attachment, and giving for the sake of dependence. Furthermore, giving is of two types, namely: improper giving and proper giving. The former has seven aspects, namely: giving out of fear.
