Because for two existing things, it is reasonable to have the nature of support and supported. Otherwise, even a rabbit would become the support of horns. Both flame and firewood are also things. Therefore, desire and so on are not things themselves. Also, they say this: If desire and so on did not exist, then how would the Blessed One show their antidotes? Having mentioned the impure and so on. The Sugata, the Buddha, the Blessed One, has spoken of the contemplation of the impure and so on as the antidote to desire, which is for the sake of pacifying the doubt of being tainted, but it is not abiding in the thing itself. For example, some are troubled by the doubt of being tainted by poison, and some experts in the poison of doubt recite false mantras, and the poison of doubt will be pacified. Similarly, for those children who are completely tainted by that kind of poison, with women themselves as the cause of desire, the contemplation of the impure is shown as an antidote. Moreover, women are not the only cause of desire, otherwise, all those who see women would generate desire. In that case, no one would be free from desire. Just like this, it is also said: All you lustful dogs who engage in sexual conduct! In order to show other wisdom here, "lotus" and so on are mentioned. For the nature of non-existent things, using non-existent things such as lotus, moon, lotus, etc., as the place where desire arises, the breasts, face, and eyes are compared to metaphors. In order to generate detachment, it is unreasonable to use metaphors such as decay as metaphors for the body, because one should understand the body of a woman in a waking state as being like a dream state. Just as a dream is false, so too is the waking state false, that is the meaning. Therefore, in order to show that yogis should not be attached to any object, because seeing desire and detachment has no cause, "desire and" and so on are said. Just like that, it is in the manner that has just been shown.

In the state of dreaming, if one recognizes women, then both desire and non-desire are false and non-existent, that is its meaning. Because there is no clear reason, and also to show that things themselves are non-existent. Mentioning "some" means that, for those who are addicted to alcohol, all things are essentially non-existent. When on one hand it is shown that women are non-existent, when it is separated, through the reason of separation, anything is non-existent. Yogis, not attached, nor unattached. That is its meaning. To show that very meaning itself, "any attachment and non-attachment" etc. are mentioned, anyone who has an object, by practicing impurity contemplation, may generate non-desire towards things, but since he has not seen the truth itself, he will certainly not be liberated from samsara. Because attachment and non-attachment are interdependent, there is no doubt that attachment will arise when one arises from samadhi. Therefore, it is meaningful to seek to abandon desire, whatever it is, that is also attachment and non-attachment, even attachment should not be relied upon, meaning do not keep it in mind. Like this, by showing that the path of the Four Noble Truths is mistaken, because the path of no-self in the Dharma is praised in a wondrous way. "Emaho, beyond the world" etc. are mentioned. "Emaho" means wondrous. Beyond the world means beyond the world. This path is completely solitary. It itself is separate from the Dharma being examined. Because, if the words of others are true, then the words of practicing impurity contemplation etc. in the Hearer Vehicle are true, while these words of the Great Vehicle are false, not true. Are not both spoken by the Bhagavan? Why is one false and the other true? "Causing harm" etc. are mentioned. If the Hearer Vehicle was indeed truly spoken by the Bhagavan, because Subhuti etc. attained Nirvana through that path. Although it is so, since it does not apply to the benefit of all sentient beings, it itself is false, and is considered false.
