And the doer is the mind. Falling into extremely deep darkness means falling into the darkness of ignorance. In order to contemplate as it is, in order to show the reason as it is, therefore "wise person" and so on are mentioned. A wise person is someone with intelligence. The place of contemplation is women and so on. Rejection is the antidote of attention. The place where afflictions are slightly familiar, the differences of desire and so on will increase. If you ask: How does it increase? "Like fire" and so on are mentioned. Oil is a drop of ghee. Even if it is small, it can make the fire burn and increase, meaning that this is also the same. Because the power of samadhi is well obtained, in order to show that later it clearly tends to the place of desire and so on and is cut off. "After that" and so on are mentioned. For example, a wise and brave warrior who is good at learning the methods of weapons, strikes the enemies in the battlefield, in the same way, in order to show the samadhi of the yogi. Because the application is well done, therefore, for the place of desire and so on, like the enemy of a brave man, for what cannot be accomplished by means of convenience, it should be struck, that is the meaning. This is scriptural proof, "Without remainder" and so on are mentioned. The Buddha Bhagavan who saw the complete, non-dual suchness wisdom, spoke, that is, revealed. Like this, afflictions are desire and so on. "And so on" refers to the knowable, that is, form and so on. Like this, because it is an obstacle to suchness, it is an obscuration. Therefore, with all efforts, these themselves should be abandoned. It is said, meaning that the wisdom of emptiness should be used to destroy it. In this way, because tranquility is shown, in order to enter insight, "Signs" and so on are mentioned. Immediately after that, the yogi should contemplate the nature of the three appearances of the mind, the imputed, the dependent, and the perfectly established, with the wisdom of hearing. Grasping the meaning is the object of the imputed. The definite appearance in meaning is the nature of the dependent. The emptiness of all meanings is the nature of the perfectly established. Now it is the wisdom of thinking.

Discrimination must be considered, and one should focus on the mixture. With the wisdom of meditation's nature, through the examination of the immaculate, the way of Prajnaparamita is to meditate on the ultimately established perfect nature. The inconceivable thing to be contemplated is solely thinking. Now, in order to contemplate the meaning of examination, it is said, "Whatever appears," and so on. Whatever appears is not the self-nature mind examined by conceptual thought, because it is not seen in the ultimate sense. What is not seen is the self-nature mind of the perfectly established. That, as it is, means non-inverted. For example, just as eyes deluded by cataracts see hair streaks where there are none. In order to show what was previously stated, it is said, "I," and so on. Because it is not established by valid cognition, it is not peaceful, and one sees the object of examination. Similarly, the completely imputed is merely a mistaken object. "Without cause" means without a cause. A sign is also born from cause and condition. Being destroyed by signs means being destroyed by habitual tendencies. Being long-lasting due to habitual tendencies means seeing at all times. Now, in order to show delusion in the continuum of others, it is said, "Alas," and so on. Alas means wonderful. The eyes of worldly people are deluded by the power of falsehood. Who sees no hair on the mountain peak and does not see the coarse mountain? Similarly, one sees the completely imputed nature that does not appear. The meaning is that the mere consciousness established by direct perception is not seen. In order to ridicule the reasons of those who speak of external objects, what should one laugh at? It is said, "Hair strands," and so on. Hair strands and pearls are extremely subtle. Who can hit those? What would it become like? "Quick to throw when walking" refers to showing quickness when walking. Where is it? It is in being quick to throw when walking. Hitting the sign means extremely hitting the external object. Neither of the two is a cause; it means hitting. It will be shown in this way that hair and pearls are objects of direct perception, and one also extremely hits the external object that transcends direct perception.
