That which is said to be the ground is also the nature of conceptualization; it should be understood as merely being examined. It is not just karma and its result; because it is taught that however much the Blessed One has taught, that much is the entry into the conventional. Therefore, it is said, "dharma" and so forth. Among these, dharma is not forgetting virtuous actions. Non-dharma is the opposite of that. Austerity is endurance that does not mind suffering. Giving is giving the body and so forth to what is sought. Restraint is turning the body and mind away from non-virtue. Restraining with restraint is turning away from difficulty with an antidote. Subduing is the mind being close to peace. Animals are cows and so forth. Hell is dwelling in the Avici hell and so forth. By the karma of obstructing giving and so forth, dwelling in a place devoid of food and drink is a hungry ghost. That which is assembled by the five aggregates is a human. Because it dwells in a high place, it is a god. Elements are earth and so forth. That which is transformed from the elements is form and so forth. Aggregates are form and feeling and so forth. Realms are the eye and so forth. That which the Able One teaches to sentient beings is the teaching. The teacher is the Buddha, the Blessed One. Hearers are Shariputra and so forth. These are taught in the conventional; it is taught that all of these are conventional, but it is not the meaning of the ultimate truth. If someone asks: Why does the Blessed One not only teach the ultimate truth, but what is the necessity of teaching the conventional? Therefore, it is said, "the first karmic one" and so forth. One who initially has faith in the teachings of the Blessed One is called the first karmic one. In order to lead that first karmic one, the worldly person, into the non-dual ultimate wisdom, the method is the conventional; this is what the perfectly enlightened Buddha, the Blessed One, has said with the reasoning of climbing a ladder, but it is not established that the conventional has its own nature. In order to teach that meaning, therefore, it is said, "Thus" and so forth. Thus, all conventional things are like what children say, they are not the nature of the ultimate truth, and in the end, everything will be destroyed, because it is impossible to analyze, so there is no dwelling in wisdom, is the meaning.

Similarly, it is shown that it should not be said, that is, it is not something to be said. Because the nature of what is grasped and what grasps cannot be analyzed, it means that it is unanalyzable. Slightly other, that is, the meaning of the true meaning being clear. Now, in order to show dwelling in suchness, "in that space" and so on are mentioned. Thus, dwelling in the state of unspeakable, unanalyzable, slightly non-existent, that is the clear object of space, the nature of the Bodhisattva is the person. Emptiness is emptiness by that, it is the nature of suchness. Emptiness is what makes it clear, that is, it makes it clear that all phenomena in the world are without self-nature. What is said about the realms and sources, that is self-nature emptiness. Because some people think that self is the seer, etc., and also when, when the nature of the eye, etc., being determined separately for the object is understood, then the emptiness of the person is established. If the objects of the eye, etc., do not become selfless, then it is not like that, because the emptiness of the person of the nature of man, etc., with that emptiness is non-dual emptiness. Thus, when the nature of mind is seen as non-dual, then the person and the dharma become selfless and are established, therefore there is no dispute about this. The Bodhisattva who dwells on the ground of fruition, because he has abandoned the afflictions and the obscurations of knowledge, and dwells happily without afflictions, is shown by two verses, so he said, "Thus," and so on. The person of the Hearer's path, by realizing selflessness, abandons afflictions and does not observe the faults of desire, etc. Similarly, the Bodhisattva path shown in this way, by abandoning the two obscurations of knowledge and afflictions, does not observe either. Seeing that all sentient beings relying on other paths are subdued by the distinctions of desire, etc., like laughter, that is, like shy laughter, is seen by the Bodhisattva. How does one become a guide? That is, abandoning tranquility, tranquility is not done by winning the enemy of afflictions with samadhi.
