meaning. Having thus established the nature of ultimate reality, it shows that some should not strive to make it manifest. Therefore, it says, "If," etc. Wherever the sound of emptiness is taught, it should be understood as the nature of non-dual mind. Also, wherever the sound of the imputed is taught, it is the nature of the grasper and the grasped. If the imputed were completely non-existent everywhere, and emptiness were also to exist, then birth and destruction would effortlessly obtain themselves, and the yogi would effortlessly obtain himself. Therefore, if emptiness exists and the imputed does not exist, then beings would be liberated by being free from effort. It is not so, because of what? It says, "Does not know," etc. As long as the objects of the grasper and the grasped, which are fabricated by discrimination, are not known by the yogi who is led by reason and scripture, then it is possible to make it cease merely because it does not exist. Without cultivating the antidote, it will not cease. Therefore, if it cannot cease, then the nature to be realized will also be obscured by emptiness and cannot be obtained. If it is not clear, then how can it be truly accomplished? Furthermore, it says, "These have no distinction at all," etc. This imputed and this emptiness, as long as some have not seen the difference between these two, then the nature of the imputed will obtain the nature of the non-existence of emptiness, in order to answer the refutation of others. It says, "Other-powered," etc. Other-powered is relying on the mind by the power of others. When the correct and incorrect views of emptiness and the imputed arise, then the difference between these two will be known. In this way, other-powered has two natures: the imputed and the perfectly established. Among them, the imputed is the fabrication made on the objects of the grasper and the grasped. The perfectly established is emptiness by it. When the yogi observes the imputed as unobservable with wisdom, as its antidote, he should also cultivate the nature of the perfectly established.

At that time, by seeing the nature of the Pariniṣpanna, one will truly see emptiness. Apart from the nature of the Pariniṣpanna, there is no other emptiness called other-emptiness. Because the Parikalpita is false, it is said that it is not a true view, thereby establishing the ultimate truth. In order to indicate that meaning with verses, "How" and so on are mentioned. If one asks how yogis enter this emptiness, the answer is "by seeing the three natures." When the mind of the nature of the three natures of the Parikalpita, Paratantra, and Pariniṣpanna appears, then, by the cause of seeing the three natures, according to the order previously indicated, one will enter emptiness. It is not that merely seeing the three natures of the mind is emptiness, but as long as one sees it, when the mind sees the nature of the three natures, seeing it will cause the grasping of all dharmas as a whole to disappear, and the clinging to one will disappear. Therefore, it is said, "In one, no difference is seen," etc., that is, no difference is seen in one's own nature. Therefore, it appears clearly in three ways. However, by the power of the entry of habit, by the power of habit, from those two, that is, from the nature of the Paratantra and the Pariniṣpanna, the nature of the Parikalpita appears, that is its meaning. In order to indicate the state after that, "Parikalpita" and so on are mentioned. In order to prevent the object of grasping, it is said, "Because the meaning of Parikalpita is extinguished." It is said, "Because it is not clear," that is, it becomes unclear. From the nature of the Pariniṣpanna, first the Paratantra will appear very clearly, that is its meaning. If one asks what kind of appearance it is, it is said, "Because the nature was not seen before," that is, what was not seen before is the state of the Parikalpita. The nature that was not seen, with that nature appearing like shaking, like an unstable nature, that is its meaning. Now, in order to indicate the path of seeing, "Order" and so on are mentioned, the order is according to the order previously indicated.
