Isn't it established like that? If asked how to establish it on consciousness? It is said "children" etc., to determine with scriptural and logical proofs. Among them, the scriptural proof is: because the sutra says "The three realms are only mind." The logical proof should be said: Any, any, because ignorant children repeatedly practice the discriminating consciousness, therefore, that and that consciousness arise from the power of practice, appearing in front like an illusionary person. Because it is its kind, the external objects do not exist. If asked how these meanings are accomplished from the power of practice? Therefore, in order to show the metaphor with three verses, it is said "Although the clothes are divided" etc. Although the clothes are divided, but because the limbs are not fully accustomed, they will be harmed by very cold hailstones, but the eyes are not harmed, which is really amazing. Therefore, here it should be observed accordingly from the power of habit and non-habit. Similarly, it is said "the power of habit" etc., meaning: due to the power of habit, the leather maker will not be greatly harmed by the smell of leather, but others will be harmed. If asked what kind of leather is it? It is said "rubbed by hand", meaning: when rubbed with both hands, a very unpleasant smell will appear on it. It is said "having a body" etc., meaning: people with bodies initially, that is, at the beginning, eating poison will die, but the same thing, due to the power of habit, will eventually become a tonic. Similarly, due to the power of practice, only consciousness appears in front, not external objects. Now, in order to examine and refute the cause of the elements that arise from outside the mind, it is said "the elements" etc. The word "also" in it is discrimination. If it is said where do the elements also arise from? It means that it does not arise from the cause of external objects. Like this, "From karma arise various kinds of worlds", it is believed that the elements arise from karma. But that is also unreasonable. If asked how is it unreasonable? Because the elements are dwelling on the bodies of other sentient beings, it is considered its fruit.
