Do. If the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, are non-conceptual, then why is it stated elsewhere in the sutras: "Children consider it non-conceptual, the Tathagatas possess concepts." If someone asks this, it is to explain that: "Children who cling to two errors consider it non-conceptual, the ten powers who see the non-dual reality possess concepts." This is said to cut off the erroneous clinging to duality. Because the victors see the non-dual reality, liberated from grasping and grasper, etc., they are called possessors of concepts. Thus, having completely accomplished what arises incidentally, in order to connect it with the present context, it is said: "When the activity of false conceptualization appears, why does true conceptualization not occur?" This is said because others object, saying that since the Buddha has attained wisdom beyond the world, how can the non-conceptual ones accomplish various perfect activities of taming? This objection has already been answered with examples such as the sun. Furthermore, it is also said here that even in the unreal, false conceptualization, various perfect activities appear, so what need is there to mention the meaning of the non-conceptual, abiding in the suchness beyond the world? Why does it not occur? For unreal things, since various seeds have been present in the Alaya-consciousness from beginningless time, various activities of imputation can be accomplished by the power of the ripening of the seeds. If this non-conceptual wisdom itself has no seed, then how can countless unsurpassed forms of expression be accomplished from it? Therefore, it is said: "Imputing names is the cause of activity, the support for the entry of conceptualization is the root mind, the root branches are as desired there, the non-conceptual wisdom possessing many powers is the place of entry, by its power, pure suchness is considered the root cause." This means that the support for the entry of conceptualization, which is the cause of imputing names,

It is believed that the ālaya-vijñāna is the basis of all phenomena, because seeds reside within it, so it is like a fundamental branch. Similarly, pure Suchness should also be considered a fundamental branch as the basis for the arising of the manifold powers of non-conceptual wisdom, because they are mutually dependent. Thus it is said. Those who have attained non-conceptual wisdom possess many riches, while other ordinary people do not; why is that? Because of entering in various ways, due to the pervasiveness of conceptualization, those (conceptualizations) are destroyed, so wisdom possesses such power of freedom. Thus it is said. Or, how does the perfect power of freedom of the wise suddenly and effortlessly appear? What is the cause for this? Therefore, it is said, "Because of entering in various ways," etc. Because the result arises from the cause, this is not objectionable. That is to say, because the conceptualization that enters in various ways is destroyed, so one knows things as they are, and wisdom also attains (the state) encompassed by perfect power of freedom in its own form. Whoever possesses such power of freedom should be called that. Now, does this distinction between sa-upadhiśeṣa-nirvāṇa and an-upadhiśeṣa-nirvāṇa exist in these three bodies? Or, is what is called with remainder and without remainder something that does not belong to any body? Therefore, it is said, "Nirvāṇa with remainder," etc. The phrase "in the two Buddha bodies" refers to the Nirmāṇakāya and the Sambhogakāya. Being established in that is the meaning of "established." Because it universally appears in the forms of Buddhas and others, it is the skandhas, that is, because it is the skandhas. The nature of an-upadhiśeṣa-nirvāṇa is established in the Dharmakāya; how is that? It is said, "Because it is separated from all skandhas, the Dharmakāya has no skandhas." Because there is no object of elaboration in it.

So it is. Thus, having promised and explained the nirvana common to the Shravakas, now, in order to summarize the unsurpassed nirvana, it is said: 'Those protectors who have attained the distinction of non-abiding nirvana, it should be known that these three bodies themselves have summarized it.' Thus it is said: 'Those protectors who have attained the distinction of non-abiding nirvana.' That is, having reached the extreme limit with both wisdom and compassion, they do not abide in samsara or nirvana in order, and this is superior to the Shravakas and others. How is it summarized? For this reason, 'The Buddhas with two bodies do not wish to abide in nirvana, and their Dharmakaya also does not wish to abide in samsara.' Thus it is said: The Nirmanakaya and Sambhogakaya do not wish to enter nirvana. Because those two are not real, those two appear from the power of the Dharmakaya for the sake of taming. The Dharmakaya does not wish to abide in samsara, because it has truly transcended all elaborations, and samsara is the basis of elaborated things. Thus, the Buddhas are those who have attained the perfection of the distinction of non-abiding nirvana. Are these three bodies of the nature of non-existent things, or are they of the nature of existent things? Are they not mutually different, or are they of the nature of difference? Because the two are false, there is also doubt that they are of the nature of non-existent things. Because the Dharmakaya exists, and the two are not different, there is also a seed of doubt that they are of the nature of existence, therefore, 'Those three bodies are also neither existent nor non-existent, those are thought to be mutually one, not different.' Thus it is said: Because of existence and non-existence, it is not possible to say that they are existent or non-existent. The Nirmanakaya abides only as long as there is a need for taming, so it is not existent. The Sambhogakaya is also the same. The Dharmakaya is not non-existent because it abides as long as samsara exists. They are neither mutually different nor one. How is it not one? The Nirmanakaya and
