If it were not so, then the meaning of external objects would not be harmed by valid cognition. Therefore, whatever fame is established by valid cognition, only that is reasonable, and others are not. Therefore, the Blessed One, in the Explication of the Thought Sutra and others, said: The three natures are, I comprehend all dharmas' three natures from the three non-natures, and proclaimed the three natures, which is not contradictory to this. Because here also, establishing the three natures is without contradiction. If one does not investigate in this way, then the nature of things that appear, which arises from actions and interconnections, is the other-dependent nature. Like illusions and so on in conventional truth, it arises from the power of conditions, therefore it is without nature, so arising is without nature. Regarding this, clinging to the nature of arising and so on as ultimately true, that is the completely imputed nature. That is also because the nature is not established as it is distinguished by valid cognition, so it is the signless non-nature. On the other-dependent, what is empty of the completely imputed nature as previously stated, that is the thoroughly established nature. That is because it is truly established by valid cognition, so it is always established. That is also because it pervades all dharmas, so it is the ultimate non-nature by being the nature of the general characteristic, so here everything is without contradiction. In order to completely abandon the observation of differences for those to be trained who cling to appearances such as birth and cessation, the Blessed One said in the Explication of the Thought Sutra and others: Whatever is firmly established as the existence of consciousness and so on, that is also not ultimately true, it should be understood in this way. In the Holy Dharma Collection Sutra, it says: As it is said in the sutra, son of good family, the world's abiding is clinging to birth and cessation, to this, the Tathagata, the great compassionate one, in order to completely abandon the place of fear of the world, only speaks of birth and cessation based on terminology, but does not say that no dharma arises here. Therefore, the sutra also says: All dharmas are without nature in ultimate truth.

The matter is accomplished. Therefore, clinging to things as truly existent, such as being born, is inverted, and conversely, not clinging to true existence is non-inverted. Some who are deluded by the obsession with things that have existed since beginningless time, in order to show that the nature of the conventional and the ultimate is non-inverted, therefore say: If one seeks with destruction and wisdom, another, then that wisdom will not arise, like a pot of water, etc., it exists conventionally, while ultimate existence is different. What is said here cannot show non-inversion, because others, in order to establish that pots, etc., which are things with parts, are conventional truths, if pots, etc., truly exist, why does wisdom not arise when they are destroyed? This is uncertain. If it is said that destruction means damage, then at that time, because it is not itself, such wisdom will not arise, but not because it is false. Or, if it means breaking down into parts, then at that time, because it has parts, and is a thing with parts, there may be doubt that such wisdom will not arise. Seeking another with wisdom is also too broad, therefore it is not a characteristic. If one examines pots, etc., with wisdom, just as parts cannot determine the nature of ultimate truth, so too are atoms and consciousness similar, therefore they should also become conventional truths. How can one not be deluded by the fact that atoms have bodies, and must admit that there are different directional parts? If this were not the case, because there is no abiding in different directions such as east and north, etc., they would not accumulate into mountains, etc. Therefore, because it is the nature of accumulation, these things that are different due to different directional parts, if the parts are removed, just like pots, etc., the nature cannot be determined, therefore it will only become conventional truth. Consciousness must also be recognized as having aspects without being deluded, because consciousness is all.
