If consciousness, in the case of sentient beings, is not truly existent, then how can examples be established when it is impossible to have actions such as being high or low in reality? Consciousness is also truly non-dual, and since the appearance of duality is false, the measure of that appearance is also purely false. How can the measure be established as truly existent? Therefore, in no way can it be established that things arise from others. The teachers only establish cause and effect in conventional truth, and because they see that in conventional truth one can arise from many and many can arise from one, they closely guide the differentiation of eye consciousness, etc., by following and reversing how things appear, such as the eye. To guide childish beings, they explain the texts on the reasoning of effects, making the differences in causes distinct. It should be understood that this is not the ultimate truth, because it is not established in the ultimate truth. Those such as the Samkhyas who see that the causes of sprouts, such as earth, water, and seeds, are both different and not different, and therefore understand that they arise from themselves and others in ultimate truth, this reasoning is also not good, because it refutes the faults spoken of in both of their positions. Those who assert that all things are without cause because they see the beauty of peacock feathers, etc., without the action of painters, etc., their position is also unreasonable because things are sometimes seen, and because it is seen that places, times, and substances, etc., depend on specific causes. It is not reasonable for things to occur occasionally without dependence, because there is no difference between the time when things exist and the time when they do not exist, so things would either always exist or always not exist. The example of peacocks, etc., also does not establish that things arise without cause in ultimate truth, because in ultimate truth all phenomena are unborn. If what is to be established is conventional truth, then the example does not fully establish what is to be established, because these examples depend on differences in place, time, and substance, etc., to be established.

Hey, because those are the causes, the example to be proven is incomplete. Therefore, there is no work of painters, etc., in that. However, those are not without cause, because those arise from their own causes alone. Because the powers of things are determined separately, it is not that everything arises from everything. Fire and smoke, etc., also because they are established as cause and effect things through manifestation and non-manifestation, so there is also direct contradiction to the vow. Because things are occasional, they are established as having dependence, so there is also inferential contradiction. Because it has been promised that certainty will arise from the reason for what is to be proven, there is also self-contradiction to the vow. If it is not so, then the statement of reason will only become meaningless. Merely making a vow does not accomplish the desired meaning, because it would lead to the fault that everything is accomplished by everything. Therefore, the reason is not unestablished. If you think that because the four things to be proven are not established, the basis of the reason is unestablished, that is not correct either. It is not to state what is to be proven by grasping the distinction of the subject that relies on the established side, because such a subject is not established anywhere for both opponents. If it is established, then what is to be established is also already established, so it will not become a dispute. However, for things that are known even to cowherds, all who are good at speaking must prove, and it is the entry of the thought of proof, so we have no fault. This proof that we speak of is not to explain the nature of proof by searching for what has become the subject thing of this. What is it then? It is the nature of negation. That is also because it is well established on non-things, how can it become an unestablished reason? It is also not uncertain, because all permanent things have been eliminated before, so it is completely abandoned. It is also not an uncertainty caused by a person who cannot be said to be permanent and impermanent, because it is impossible not to be able to say about something that exists.
