It is said that only that itself is shown, and that it abides in mere consciousness. Consciousness is here said to be the nature of realization. The name given to it is the speaker, and the meaning is the spoken, therefore, apart from the speaker, there is no spoken. Thus it is said. For the knowledge with conceptualization, only the appearing speaker is considered as the sound of the name, but the sound heard by the ear consciousness is not, because that is not the speaker. If it were only that, then everything appearing as various forms, etc., would not change, and the aggregates, etc., would not be established. In the sutra, also, because the ultimate truth is shown, it is implied that all knowledge, knowable, speaker, etc., are only conventional truth, not just sound. As it is said in the Noble Two Truths Sutra: Son of the gods, moreover, in terms of the ultimate, the ultimate truth is completely beyond all conventions, without distinction, unborn, unceasing, separated from the spoken, the speaker, the knowable, and knowledge. Like this, from here it is implied that all knowledge, knowable, speaker, etc., are only conventional truth, because conventional truth is the nature opposite to the ultimate truth. Precisely because of those, in the Noble Inexhaustible Intelligence Sutra, it is also in accordance with this that the worldly conventions, the nature of knowledge and knowable, and the nature of speaker shown in letters and sounds, should be known as conventional truth, and not just the speaker and the spoken. If it were not so, then for what would there be no movement of mind? How would it be reasonable to show the ultimate truth as an object opposite to the conventional truth? If someone were to criticize, saying that because there is no real thing to be shown in the ultimate, there would be no distinction of good speech, etc., then at that time it would be establishing what is established. Because all phenomena are of one taste in suchness. In suchness, there is no distinction.

There is nothing. Therefore, there is no fault in not distinguishing between what is well-spoken and what is not well-spoken in the nature of reality. However, if one argues that there is no distinction even in conventional terms, that is not established. For example, the teachings of the Tathagata, which express the ultimate truth through direct perception and transmission, and which bring benefit and happiness to sentient beings, are well-spoken. The opposite is not well-spoken, so the difference between the two is established. According to your view, names are merely imputed natures, so how can you establish a distinction between what is well-spoken and the other (not well-spoken)? What you accept is also what we accept, so this is unreasonable. Furthermore, saying "if the meaning of sound" and so on is also unreasonable, because it is not only the meaning of conventional sound. However, it is also shown that the meaning of sound is also the case, because all things are without inherent existence in the ultimate sense, and can be expressed like illusions and so on, being imputed natures. For example, just as in many illusory people, the meaning of the sound "people do not arise" is established, having the nature of a general characteristic, why can't it be established for things that are without inherent existence in the ultimate sense? In particular, there is no reason why only things that have become real must become the meaning of sound, having the nature of a general characteristic, because even for differences such as non-existence before, even if they have not become real things, it is seen that the name "non-existence" is generally applied. Furthermore, saying "happiness and so on are to be known by each individual themselves" and so on is also unreasonable, because all happiness and so on are included in the conventional, as has been said before. There is no reason why only things become un-demonstrable natures, because it is also seen that false hairs and second moons and so on are also un-speakable natures. It has already been shown that it is not only the nature of what can be said and what is to be said that is the conventional truth. Therefore,
