The Light of the Middle Way, so called. The Light of the Middle Way, so called. In Sanskrit: Madhyamakaaloka naama. In Tibetan: The Light of the Middle Way, so called. Homage to youthful Manjushri! Here, some who are not skilled, due to the deterioration of their views, are possessed by the great demon of attachment to reality. Due to the power of being seized, their intelligence deteriorates, and they even slander the great Nagarjuna and others. But those who only destroy themselves. In order to pacify the disturbances of those spirits, I will begin the method of healing with compassion. The root of the arising of all the nets of affliction is the manifest attachment to things, so having completely abandoned that, for those who desire the state of excellence, I will compose this to show that all dharmas are without inherent existence. Here, some, not fathoming the depths of the ocean of the profound ultimate truth, say that if it were possible to establish that all dharmas are without inherent existence through scripture or reasoning, it is not possible. For a while, it is not possible through the door of scriptural authority, because no one accepts it. Words follow only one's own desires, because they are not related to such things, and therefore do not possess validity. Even if there is a connection, those who see this shore cannot ascertain it. For those who understand and accept the system of its scriptures, it is not possible to show even a little of such words that would make them understand without doubt that all things are without inherent existence. In some sutras, it is said that all dharmas are without inherent existence, unborn, peaceful from the beginning, and naturally completely liberated from suffering, etc., which should be understood as provisional meanings, because the teachings of the Bhagavan enter through various intentions. Among them, the three natures, the completely imputed, the dependent, and the perfectly established, are, in order, characteristics, arising, and the ultimate reality of no inherent existence, and therefore it is said that all dharmas are without inherent existence. Therefore, because of no inherent existence, they are unborn. Therefore, they are peaceful from the beginning. Therefore, they are naturally completely liberated from suffering. Therefore,

Just as the Blessed One himself, in the Noble Explanation of the Thought Sutra and others, has shown the combination of the meaning of the sutras. Furthermore, the arising of all dharmas, etc., is distinguished only by the consciousness of duality, but not by self-awareness alone. Duality is also false, so all the nature established by it is also false. Therefore, it is said that all dharmas are unborn, etc., by the nature of the imputed nature of non-self-nature, but not in the ultimate truth. Therefore, for the time being, it is not possible from the gate of scripture. It is also not possible from the gate of reasoning, in this way, for the time being, it is not possible to realize that all things are empty by direct perception, because its object is things. Moreover, how can the non-existent thing, with its non-self-nature, show its own nature and cause consciousness to arise? It is not reasonable. If it is said that it can cause consciousness to arise, then it will become a thing, because the nature of a thing is to be able to function. If it is said that what is directly perceived has its own nature, then at that time the proposition that all dharmas are non-self-nature will be broken. But if it is non-self-nature, then how can it realize that all things are empty? Furthermore, if one grasps something such as the side that is empty of other meanings, then it will become the realization of emptiness by something other than that. Thus, for those who say that all dharmas are non-self-nature, by what direct perception can one realize that all dharmas are empty? There is not even a little thing that is empty of the nature of all dharmas, because it is included in all dharmas. But if it is not included in it, then one's own proposition will be broken. This is what should be truly realized by the direct perception of yogis such as the All-Knowing One, but even the wise are not completely satisfied, because there is no reasoning in it. If the consciousness of the yogi is also non-existent, then how can it become a valid cognition at that time? But if it is
