If the refuter merely approximates falsehood, then it is very clear that it is unrelated to manifest expression. If someone says, "If unexamined is merely without understanding," then that is also irrelevant. For the wisdom that arises from thought, which enters the mind with certainty in a non-inverted way, arises from the power of correct measure. Similarly, that which arises from meditation is also called examination, because it discerns the meaning of reality in accordance with reality, and is its homogenous cause. All knowledge that turns its back on the meaning of reality and grasps the aspect of falsehood is called unexamined because it is the opposite of that. But it is neither non-conceptual wisdom, nor is it merely without conception. Therefore, since it is the nature of extreme fame, all natures of false things are called conventional truth. Therefore, even though it is the nature of being unexamined, it is neither non-conceptual wisdom, nor does it abandon the meaning known by inference. It neither affirms the nature of things, nor does it want to say that it negates what is not present here. Therefore, this refuter merely sets forth some words to universally confuse foolish people, it is merely empty talk, and it does not completely satisfy the wise. If someone says, "If it is the fame of the conventional world," then there is no fault, because all things that are famous in the world are considered to be conventional truth. However, not all things are the object of all senses, because some people can only see a part. Therefore, the arrangement of actions and results, etc., all the forms that are determined separately, are very hidden, and only the omniscient wisdom can know them, while others cannot even understand them through ordinary knowledge. Some treatise writers go beyond fame, saying that whatever is approximately considered to be the nature of examining things, etc., is a false conventional truth, because it does not even exist in fame. If someone says dependent arising

A thorough examination of arising and conforming. For example: "Here there is no self or sentient being, this dharma is complete with causes and conditions." Saying something like this means that it exists in the true conventional reality. Therefore, even if those who make treatises on all things as one fabricate many natures, things will not become mutually contradictory in nature. If someone says that the meaning of convention is the meaning of illusion, etc., that is also without fault, because the meaning of untruth is considered to be the meaning of illusion, but it is not a completely non-existent nature. Therefore, there is no fault in this as previously stated, and there is no fault of slandering affliction and purification, because that has already been refuted. Even if the meaning of illusion is the nature of confused consciousness, consciousness does not become substantial, because it appears to be grasping false aspects, and truth and falsehood are also mutually contradictory. Therefore, even the nature of falsehood will become truth, so consciousness will not become confused, nor will it become multiple natures, because natures are contradictory in one thing. If the nature of untruth is false and therefore confused, then consciousness will not become true, because the two are not different from each other in all self-natures, and it is impossible for part and whole things to exist in one thing. Therefore, consciousness is also a false nature, so this is much more excellent than the way of thinking that it is within the knowable. If someone says that convention is just a sound, etc., that is also unreasonable because it is a good examination from the previous sect's own point of view, because the Tathagata did not say that any sect's practitioners are just sounds. In the sutra it says: "All these are just names, they abide in conceptualization, apart from expression, there is no object to be expressed." Regarding this sutra, it is also to refute the views of those who think that expression is also substantial, and that the meaning to be expressed is also different from expression, so it is said that expression and the meaning to be expressed both abide in conceptualization.
