and also meditative stabilizations, and the doors of dharanis, and also the powers of the Thus-Gone One, and also the individual correct knowledges, and also great compassion, and also the Buddha's unmixed qualities, and also the four fruits, and also the knowledge of the aspects of the path, and also there is no unsurpassed, perfect, complete enlightenment. All these things are established based on worldly conventions, but in ultimate reality, they are not. Thus it was said. Whatever these things are from form up to all-knowingness, all these things are neither truly existent nor non-existent, because they are formless, invisible, unimpeded, and without characteristics. Those are only spoken in worldly terms by the Thus-Gone One for the purpose of grasping beings, but in ultimate reality, they are not. Thus it was said. Moreover, what is obtained in worldly convention, and the distinctions of realization and the five destinies, from the beginning, are not ultimately real. In ultimate reality, there is no action, no ripening of action, no affliction, no purification, no birth, and no cessation. Thus it was said. Therefore, in this way, the Blessed One, in ultimate reality, has prohibited all these things such as affliction and purification, but in conventional terms, because he has assented, he has not prohibited them in that way, therefore there is no harm to the promise. The Blessed One also, just as in a dream one sees a snake and faints, and as one is liberated from that, speaks of afflictions and purifications as being merely false. There is also no fault of slandering the four noble truths, because the Blessed One has explained them separately in other Mahayana sutras. As it is said in the Noble Brahma's Inquiry: 'Suffering, origin, cessation, and path are not the truths of the noble ones. Brahma, however, whatever does not have the arising of suffering, this is the truth of the noble ones. Origin, whatever does not have universal arising, this is the truth of the noble ones. For those that are completely ceased, whatever does not have arising and does not have cessation, this is the truth of the noble ones.'

It is like saying that all dharmas are equal without duality, and the path that is cultivated is the truth of the noble ones. Therefore, truths such as suffering do not exist in the ultimate sense. It is only spoken for the sake of the Shravakas, in order to make them disgusted with samsara, and to settle them in the suchness of selflessness of persons. It is only shown as the nature of impermanence and so on, and it is not meant to show the two selflessnesses, it should be understood in this way. Furthermore, the nature of the object to be produced and the producer is known even to the wife of a herdsman, therefore it is said that it is harmed by fame, which is also irrelevant, because the nature of ultimate truth and so on is not known to ordinary people. If they know it, then they will not become ordinary people. Just like dreams and so on, the nature of falsehood may also be known. Fame is not another valid cognition other than direct perception and inference. If it is included in it, then the contradiction with it is completely cut off, so the harm caused by it is also completely cut off. Furthermore, others want to generate certainty and want to apply reasoning, because they have promised that certainty will arise from it, so it is said that it is also contrary to one's own words, which is also not contradictory. Applying reasoning in order to generate certainty, but it does not mean that the certainty of ultimate truth will arise from it. So what is it? It is only produced, but it is not the difference of production. Here, by stopping the production of ultimate truth, it is intended to establish that all dharmas are without self-nature in ultimate truth, but not by stopping mere production. Therefore, although the certainty of ultimate truth will not arise from reasoning, the production of conventional truth is not contradictory, just as an image arises from an image, so the proposition is not contradictory to one's own words. Furthermore, the Blessed One said: Having eye consciousness, one knows blue, but not that it is blue. This is also said from the nominal establishment of the sense object. In other treatises it is said: Eyes, ears, noses, etc. are also not valid cognitions.
