Its own nature, whatever it may be, will be realized as such. But in reality, it is not non-existent, like knowing water in a mirage. If one thinks that all direct perceptions are merely the nature of imputed self, how can it realize the absence of one and many? This is the uncertainty of the direct perception and inference of a magician here. Thus, although the magician's consciousness is imputed with the appearance of elephants, etc., in reality, it does not cling to its own nature as manifest. Because it does not cling to manifestation, in reality, it realizes the nature of absence, which is definitely the cause of arising, and therefore it is established as its object. Similarly, the direct perception of those with conceptualization, the cause of error, is truly declared. When the imputed appearance arises in another, it is also true that there is no clinging to its own nature as manifest, and because it is determined to be the cause, it is established as the object of absence. Likewise, the consciousness of inference, although it is imputed with the nature of the general characteristic of things, is its object because it is the nature of realizing the reality of things as they are. Therefore, because it is a valid cognition, it is an uncertain reason. If one says that it is not its object, then whatever is said is also unreasonable. Things are not accepted as being like a horse's horn. What is it then? It is like the nature of illusion, etc. These are also like illusion, etc., and are only direct perception. Although one grasps the nature of being separate from one and many, some who listen to non-holy scriptures, etc., which generate the imputation of the cause of error, cannot decide, while others who decide, how can the absence of one and many be truly established through the gate of non-perception? In another way, if one establishes that everything is separate from oneness through the gate of signs such as various appearances, then it is also established that it is separate from multiplicity. This is because its collection is the self of this. The nature of one and many, etc., pervades all forms.

Those are because they are of the nature of existing by mutually excluding each other. For example, in conventional terms, when things like pots, etc., are completely cut off from places, etc., and become without connection, when something that can be designated as one is completely cut off, then from that, the nature of having connections, etc., is separated and completely cut off. Similarly, when a collection of many kinds of substances, something that can be designated as many things, is completely cut off, then from that, the form of being without connection is separated and completely cut off. If what is completely cut off is not separated, then those two things are of the nature of existing by mutually excluding each other. Whatever is of the nature of existing by mutually excluding each other is what pervades all forms. Whatever pervades all forms is what eliminates other aggregates, such as the distinctions between sentient and non-sentient beings. The nature of one and many is also the same as this, and since what pervades also necessarily eliminates what is pervaded in reverse, therefore there is no doubt about the reason returning from the dissimilar side, because it is impossible to have other aggregates. Therefore, some say that because the pervaded and the pervading things are not established in themselves, the reason is not established. Similarly, for what only establishes the pervaded thing on the subject, only on that, because the pervading thing in reverse does not establish returning on the pervaded, all those statements have already been answered. For example, all things such as the pervaded and the pervading things are established externally based on the conventional truth, which has been explained before. If the pervading thing is close, then it is certain that the distinction of the pervaded thing will not be distinguished, which has also been explained before. Therefore, from the perspective of terminology, the nature of one and many only pervades what has nature, but it is not certain that it is the ultimate nature from that, because the conventional nature of one and many, such as pots, also appears. In particular, the establishment of the pervading and the pervaded things depends on the conventional subject, and the pervading thing
