It is said to be the Dharma of singing. If, assuming that things are without inherent existence in ultimate truth, but places and times, etc., definitely appear, then, at that time, alas, at that time, how could rabbit horns, etc., not appear? Therefore, the answer to this should also be stated by you, just as false hairs, etc., appear to those with cataracts, etc., why do only false hairs, etc., appear, and not rabbit horns, etc.? However, since the respective powers of the causes and conditions of cataracts, etc., are definite, if it is stated definitely in that way, then, at that time, even if things do not exist, how could the respective powers of the causes and conditions be determined? It will be said in that way. However, if it is said that it is so because it is seen, then, similarly, for others, also because the respective powers of the causes and conditions are definite, if it is not established in that way, it is definitely not desired. By this alone, it will not fall into becoming real, because for the hairs, etc., seen by those with cataracts, etc., it will also fall into becoming real, as previously stated. If it is not so, then for the false hairs, etc., seen by those with cataracts, etc., how could the respective powers of the causes and conditions be determined? For those with cataracts, hairs, etc., are also not reasonably true as the nature of consciousness, as previously stated. Furthermore, if the nature of consciousness is established as true, then hairs, etc., also because they are non-different from it, if they could be understood as true, then, that itself is not established, as previously stated. Hairs, etc., are only extremely established as false by worldly people and valid cognition. Therefore, consciousness also, because it is non-different from the false nature of hairs, etc., is the same as it, only false, how could it make hairs, etc., become true in its nature? Some say that if all things do not arise in ultimate truth, then similarly, they will not arise in conventional truth either. Those that do not arise in ultimate truth, those also do not arise in conventional truth, for example, rabbit horns, etc. For those who say that, illusion, etc., are also uncertain.

Moreover, it is so. If one turns away from what is to be proven, there is also hesitation in turning away from the dissimilar side of the reason, since the valid cognition of harm has not been shown. Mere examples do not accomplish the desired meaning, because it is possible for pervasion to extend to both sides, including the object to be measured. If something does not exist ultimately and also does not exist conventionally, then the conventional truth would be utterly destroyed, and therefore no one would be reversed. Even if it is establishing a consequence, the reason is uncertain because the pervasion is not established. Rabbit horns, etc., do not appear to arise even conventionally, because there is no collection of such actions, etc., not because they are devoid of ultimate essence. For who would become uncertain? The essence of things, even conventionally, is not to be admitted as not depending on the collection of causes and conditions. It is also not the case that things are merely consequences of depending on causes and conditions, because illusions, etc., which are false, also have collections of causes and conditions, and entering and returning from existence and non-existence are seen. It has already been shown that things do not change in that way merely through the aspect of seeing. By the very fact that the wise have refuted the fourfold birth, they have established that things do not arise in reality, and thus they have very clearly established selflessness, but if some, not understanding the path of valid cognition, refute others, if they wish to clarify, then for a while the reality of valid cognition should be shown. Those that are free from the fourfold birth in reality are only selfless in reality, like lotus flowers in the sky, etc. All things that are the basis of dispute are also the same if they are true. To this, some say, how is it understood that one does not arise from one? Merely by the reversal of valid cognition, the nature of things does not change, because that is not its cause, nor is it its self. Or, if it is refuted because no one admits it? That is not reasonable, because some (admit) Ishvara, etc.

If someone says, "Because beings arise from a single entity alone," that is not reasonable. If one entity can only produce one entity, does it arise from a permanent essence or from an impermanent essence? If it must be distinguished, first, it is not from a permanent essence. Because it is no different from the state of not producing, just as in previous and subsequent times, it would necessarily produce in between as well, which is contradictory. If it produces, then similarly, it should also produce in previous and subsequent times, because the nature of producing follows. If it does not follow, then its permanence is lost, and sequential and simultaneous occurrences have extensively refuted this production. Therefore, it is not reasonable to arise from permanence. Nor is it from impermanence, because from impermanence, previous simultaneous occurrences have been universally refuted. There is nothing else other than permanence and impermanence from which it could arise. Some others claim that the cause of beings is a single entity such as Ishvara, but they do not claim that only one result arises from that single entity, because they consider beings to be the result of multiple essences. Therefore, in the case of "it is not reasonable for one entity to produce only one entity," pointing out Ishvara and others as the source of error is merely proclaiming a lack of understanding of the meaning of past situations. Ishvara and others are also not present as the entity of a cause, because others have closely examined it as being of a permanent essence, and permanence has already been proven to be separate from all abilities. However, if others imagine it to be entirely impermanent, then in that case, it is not reasonable for a single result to arise from it either. For example, if some results existing in different types of continuums arise from it, then, since there is no connection with another moment of the same type, it will be completely interrupted in the second moment. If that is the case, then it is always of a different type
