If it is after the (first) moment, then at that time it will only become something that has passed. This is also unreasonable, as has been said before. If it is an offering, then those two will become simultaneous because they are offered by all self-natures. If someone thinks that the fruit arises as an offering, but it is not simultaneous, because it is admitted that there is fruit in the second moment. At that time, it is also a moment, so the cause has not disappeared. Here, the Blessed One shows the reality of cause and effect by saying, "This being, that arises," abandoning the three discriminations and accepting the fourth discrimination. In this way, discrimination will become: the fruit exists before the cause, or the cause and fruit exist simultaneously, or it is interrupted by another moment, or it is said that the offering exists in the second moment, these four situations will occur. Among them, existing in the previous time is not arising because the cause exists, because that has already been established from the beginning. What arises simultaneously is also not arising because the cause exists, because that also already exists. In this way, simultaneous existence means that when there is no fruit, there is no cause, and when there is a cause, there is also a fruit. Existing in the third moment, etc., is also not arising because the cause exists, because the cause has already perished only in the second moment. Therefore, only the fruit that exists in the second moment arises because the cause exists. In this way, the cause that exists in the first moment only exists in that state, and at that time, experiencing that there is a fruit in the second moment as an offering, this is called "This being, that arises." It is also not inferred that the cause exists at the time of the fruit, because only the moment does not exist at that time. It is also not inferred that the fruit arises from the destruction of the cause, because the cause has not perished in the state of the first moment, and from that, the fruit arises as an offering. If it is not so, it will be thought that it will become a fruit in the third moment, which is also unreasonable, like this, if there is no other subtle time in between, then the existence of cause and fruit

If someone thinks that an object is offered by another time, then in that case, the self cannot be established. Would it become the same time? Please consider whether this is correct. For the two cases of a partless object being offered by another time, there is no other form except the same time, because both are offered by the entire self. If there is no other time arising in between, then inevitably the previous and subsequent moments will only be in contact. Therefore, all moments are contained within one moment, and if atoms combine with the entire self, then just as they would gather into a single atom, the parts would also inevitably become just a moment. Therefore, just as some people think that the appearance of objects as a sequence of objects is merely conventional truth because it is harmed by valid cognition, the sequence of time, like dreams appearing as eons, would become similar to them. Combination refers to the fact that for those things that offer the entire self at another time, there is no prior or subsequent time, like the right and left horns. Cause and effect are also the reason for the nature of offering the entire self at another time. If one thinks that it is offered by one part and not by the entire self, then in that case, it would become that the moment has parts, therefore, the ultimate characteristic of time, the moment, would be lost. If one also thinks that at the time of the production of the effect, because there is no cause, the idea of offering the entire self or a part together with non-existence is not established, this is also unreasonable, because in that case, there cannot be another time in between, so the absence of a cause itself is unreasonable. If one also thinks that if there is no cause at the time of the production of the effect, then in that case, the effect would only become causeless. The effect would be expected from the cessation of the cause, but not the present action, because if it does not exist, it cannot be established in the present, and if it is established in the present, then in that case, it contradicts its non-existence. Even if existence is admitted, why would the idea of offering not arise? Why would the effect arise?
