If one thinks that it will only become the result that has already been produced, that is not reasonable. Even if it does not produce the result that has already been produced, however, the nature of its ability to produce that follows will completely disappear. It is not reasonable to say that if something does not produce anything at a certain time, then at that time it has no power to hinder it. Therefore, this will only become something that does not produce anything as before, because it is no different from the state of not producing anything. It will also become something that produces things in the future as it did in the past. If it is not so, then its oneness will completely disappear because it has contradictory properties. Therefore, it is not functioning simultaneously either. What other way is there to make things function other than sequentially and simultaneously? If these mutually exclusive characteristics are not completely distinguished, then they cannot exist mutually exclusively by themselves, because negating any one of them means negating the other. Therefore, for the time being, it is not reasonable to arise from other permanent dharmas. It is also not reasonable to arise from impermanent dharmas. Because, impermanence can only be the nature of things arising and ceasing in an instant. If it can last for an eon, then there is no difference, because it cannot be destroyed later as before. Therefore, when the result arises, it will arise from the past. For example, the Vaibhashikas would say that the cause of maturation also produces the result from the past, or from the future, for example, they themselves would think that future births can also be produced. If it can also arise from present actions, then, for the time being, it is not reasonable to arise from the past, because the past no longer exists. If one admits that it arises from it, then this will also become without a cause. So, what is the past? Is it those things that have disappeared from their own nature? If it is not so, then how can it become the past, because it still has the nature of not having disappeared? Any nature that has disappeared, it itself does not exist.

Then, how can the fruit be produced? Because the function depends on its own nature. If it is said that it is called past because of the destruction of the function, etc., but not because of the decay of its own nature, if it is said like this, then it is not reasonable for the fruit to be produced from the destroyed function. It is not like this, if the fruit is produced, then how can the function be destroyed? For the nature of one thing, the action and non-action are also unreasonable, because it will fall into difference and indivisibility. The action is only projection, and it is not complete production, because there is no difference, at the moment of projection, it will also be completely produced. If it is not like this, then it will not be like before later. In addition, the so-called function, if it is the nature of ability, or the nature of action, then, if both of these natures are other things different from things, then how should it be said to be destroyed at this time? If it is said that it is the decay of its own nature, then at this time, the statement that all things are always existing will collapse. That other meaning is destroyed, but the self-nature of things is not shaken, and the destruction itself will not be established, just like when the god-given dies, but the sacrificial offering does not decay from its own nature, and it cannot be said that the nature is also dead. If it is said that it is destroyed because other actions are destroyed, then this is unreasonable, because it will become endless, and for the action, there is no other action, because for it, the argument and investigation are the same. Therefore, nothing will be established as destruction. If the function is another meaning, then things will also become non-causes, because the fruit is only produced from the function. Therefore, it will fall into the state where things do not exist, because the characteristic of things is the ability to function. The function becomes another meaning, and when the nature of these two produces the fruit, if it is considered that it is only produced by the nature of the function itself, then at this time, things will also be produced in the same way, then what is the use of recognizing it as another meaning?
