The sense organs such as the eyes would also necessarily hold because they are the cause of it. If one thinks that only the consciousness that depends on the same collection that is simultaneous with the object can hold, and not others, then it is also inevitable that the eyes and so on will also hold, which is difficult to avoid. If you say that the sense organs do not hold because they are not objects, then they themselves will not become non-objects, because they have become the characteristics of objects. The very thing that is held is also not different from the nature of the object, so it will become saying that because something is not an object, it is said that it is not an object. In this way, it is not reasonable for a consciousness without an image to hold another object. Nor is it possible to have another image, because it would fall into non-discrimination. In this way, the ear consciousness would also hold forms and so on. Since the other object is hidden, the other image itself cannot be established. Because there is no other image by which one can hold another object, therefore, since no other object that has become a cause and effect is established, in the ultimate sense, cause and effect are not established manifestly. Therefore, in truth, That which is devoid of that, with its image, By two kinds of direct perception, Is determined as the entity of cause and effect. What is said is also not established. If someone thinks like this: Because of the wisdom with images, and because it is impossible to completely cut off the other object of the other, even if there is no means to determine the entity of cause and effect, it does not harm those who say that consciousness is non-dual, because according to the view of that intelligent person, all things are only the body of mind. Even if it is not reasonable for another object to be established by direct perception, consciousness itself should be realized by self-awareness direct perception, and that has also been established as cause and effect, so the entity of cause and effect is only established by direct perception. If you think so, it is not reasonable, because you have not experienced that reality as it is, and you have not experienced the reality of what you have experienced as it is. Thus, your consciousness has not transformed into the image of what is to be taken and what can be taken.

If one assumes that things exist, then it is not experienced as such. Because at all times, one experiences knowledge that possesses all aspects of the apprehended and the apprehender. If it were not so, everything would be seen as that very thing. Knowledge also does not exist as it is experienced, because it is contradictory for one thing to have two natures. If it is said that it is known as such due to confusion, then what is this confusion? If it is knowledge itself, then it is not direct perception, because the characteristic of direct perception is non-confusion, and it is always confused with itself by itself. Moreover, since its own nature also appears in the nature of two, it is only a fallacy that the nature of non-duality is lost, because two and non-two are mutually contradictory. Even if confusion is another meaning, since it is the ultimate of self-awareness, it does not know non-duality in that way. If it is said that direct perception is merely the nature of conceptualization, then direct perception is not the object of its own characteristic, because the nature of conceptualization is also the object of the characteristic of generality. Furthermore, the so-called nature of conceptualization refers to the nature that is self-illuminating, and the aspects of the apprehended and the apprehender are also self-illuminating, so it is only the nature of conceptualization. If those are also false, then similarly, it is no different from that, and the nature of conceptualization is also a false nature, then how can it become the nature of a thing that is truly established by the measure of direct perception? If the particulars are all false, then it is impossible for the general nature of conceptualization to exist in things, because the general is only on the particulars, and names are assigned after distinguishing them in other ways. In this way, since the suchness of knowledge is not experienced as it is, it is not reasonable for this to be the direct perception of self-awareness. Even if knowledge becomes the direct perception of self-awareness, nevertheless, the things of cause and effect cannot be established from it, because with the oneness of one's own nature, the two natures of becoming cause and effect are contradictory. Even if the two natures are measured by the difference of dependence, but because dependence is another meaning itself.

If it is not self-cognizant direct perception, then because that is not established, the nature of both aspects established in reliance on it is also not knowledge through direct perception. Even if the nature of consciousness as cause and effect becomes other things, because of the difference in time, there is no experience in one consciousness. Because it completely converges on itself, these do not experience their own nature mutually, so which consciousness would become the entity that directly experiences those two? If those two are not experienced by one consciousness, then nothing can grasp the connection. Even if it appears in one consciousness, it is not possible to directly grasp the connection of the existence of those two, saying, "This is the cause, this is the effect," because that is non-conceptual. Without fully grasping the connection, it is also not possible to grasp the entities of cause and effect, because it would be too extreme. In terms of ultimate truth, the consciousness that obtains and ascertains it afterward is also not reasonable, because it has not experienced those. What is experienced by another is not what can be ascertained by another, because it would be too extreme. Even if it is assumed that one experiences because they are the same continuum, it is not reasonable, because assuming that they are the same continuum is without entity. Those with different continua also do not have mutual experience. At the time of the ascertaining consciousness, the cause and effect have already passed. Therefore, even through the means of self-cognizant direct perception, the truth of cause and effect is not established. If one thinks, "If cause and effect are not directly experienced, then how will the nature of memory arise for it?" That is also not reasonable, because in dreams and so on, even if one has not experienced the object, memory is possible. Moreover, because it ultimately converges on one's own nature, it is not established that others experience in ultimate truth, as previously stated. Thus, for the time being, it is not reasonable for that to be established from the perspective of direct perception. It is also not possible from the perspective of inference, because, as stated before, no phenomenon that is directly experienced has been established, so what should be highly proven?
