Just as fire arises from friction, if manifest reality itself causes real harm to manifest reality, then it merely causes harm. For us, that alone does not prove anything we do not want. Like this, all phenomena of existence become the fuel for the fire of wisdom that perfectly distinguishes them as they are. It burns all these false fuels, and the fire of discrimination is completely extinguished, realizing the supreme state of nirvana, realizing the nature of the cessation of conceptual proliferation, this is what we want. As it is said: All phenomena of existence, are considered the fuel for the fire of consciousness, perfectly distinguishing them as they are, burned by the fire, they become pacified. Like that. Therefore, if the wisdom of suchness arises, then the conceptual proliferation characterized by inference will cease, although without support, it will not become an unwanted result. For that very reason, the Blessed One, in the "Noble Jewel Heap Sutra," skillfully explained with the example of fire arising from the friction of two sticks, that even in the true reality, individual discernment is still accompanied by conceptual proliferation, but because it can generate the fruit of non-conceptual wisdom, its result is great. Furthermore, if someone argues like this: If, in order to establish that all phenomena are without inherent existence, one presents a phenomenon with a reason, then that reason contradicts the conclusion to be established. If it is a non-existent phenomenon, then, since there is no connection between non-existent things and non-existent things, how can the conclusion be established? If it is a phenomenon that both exists and does not exist, then, since it is uncertain, it is not a reason at all. This refutation is also irrelevant. Because, this is what those who understand reasoning say, it is impossible to establish the existence of existent, non-existent, and both existent and non-existent phenomena in the ultimate sense as a reason, but it is not saying that it is impossible to establish the characteristics of non-inherent existence, etc., for universal phenomena. If that is the case, then why would all these objections not arise when others establish the non-inherent existence of the imputational Ishvara (自在天) etc.? How can one object to things like Ishvara (自在天)

Because the power of the dharma that pervades is blocked, thereby preventing the false attachment to the very nature of things. Similarly, the dharma of non-existence is not without connection. Similarly, we block the pervasion of things such as cause and effect, thereby preventing the true false attachment to the dharma of things. When establishing the prevention, why are what is to be established and what is established not related? If it is not so, then the chief and so on, whatever is to be prevented, will not become what is to be prevented. For example, for the time being, for the thing whose own nature exists, it can only not be done there. For a non-existent thing, if it cannot be done because there is no connection, then what can it do to? The so-called non-existence of things has no real connection, it is only the blocking of pervasion, thereby only showing the reversal of what is pervaded. Just as for the existing thing, all the things of dharma and possessor of dharma are established as only being completely imputed, why not establish it for the non-existent thing as well? Furthermore, for those who have never established the ultimate truth of the essence of the nature of things, if it is not established, then because it is the nature of such things, the non-existence of things is also not established. Therefore, for those things, truly speaking, whether it is the dharma, the non-dharma, or the nature of both, no reason can exist anywhere. Therefore, how can it be used to refute and examine those things? All things are like illusions and so on, and are truly beyond the nature of existence, non-existence, and both. Therefore, for those who establish existence and negation, because the reason is in accordance with themselves, as commonly said, if that which is truly established does not exist for the debater and the refuter, then it can only be said that it will not arise. Therefore, for this, all that is established as it appears, such as dharma and possessor of dharma, contradiction, what is to be pervaded and what pervades, nature and result, are not contradictory. Therefore, the wise ones, for this view, some people refute with contradiction with dharma and possessor of dharma, etc., all those are their terms and meanings.
