If direct perception is accepted as a valid means of knowledge, then at that time, things are indeed established. Thus, the definition of direct perception is said to be free from conceptualization and non-erroneous. How can inference clarify the very nature of things that has been determined by non-erroneous consciousness? If it is eliminated, then it will harm direct perception. If it is harmed, then inference will also not be well established. How can inference, which obtains its connection from direct perception itself, harm that very direct perception? However, if it does not harm the meaning established by direct perception, then at that time, those who speak of things are only well established, because what is to be obtained has been obtained. Furthermore, if one shows a dharma with a reason in order to establish that all dharmas are without inherent existence, then at that time, the reason is contradictory because it establishes the opposite of that. However, if it is a non-existent dharma, then at that time, how can it be established, since non-existence and non-things are together without any mutual connection? If it is a dharma of both, then that is also uncertain, because it also exists on the dissimilar side. There is also no other valid cognition by which that can be established. That cannot be established by mere words, because it would lead to the absurd consequence that everything is established by everything. Words are also contradictory; if they are without inherent existence, then how can they be established? Even by proving a refutation, the desired meaning is not established, because such a refutation itself is not established. By way of refutation, only harm is done to the other's position, but one's own position is not established, because it depends on a reason that is established in both. Moreover, things do not arise from themselves, because those that have not arisen are non-existent, so they are not suitable as causes anywhere. It is also meaningless for those that have already arisen to produce themselves again, because they are already established. If there is no difference, then things as cause and effect are also not reasonable, because their cause is difference. Things also do not arise from others, because the other itself is not established. Furthermore,

If something becomes something else, then these things will not arise from permanence either, because permanence is contradictory in functioning sequentially and simultaneously. Nor will it arise from impermanence, because it will not arise from something that has temporarily ceased, because that thing does not exist at that time. Nor will it arise from something that has not ceased, because that would lead to the cause and effect becoming the same. Things that arise simultaneously are also not reasonable as entities of cause and effect, because in the state of being established, both are of the nature of being established, so they do not help each other. In the state of not being established, both do not exist. They do not help each other at all. Nor will it arise from both, because it will lead to the two faults mentioned earlier, and it is contradictory for one thing to have two natures. Things also do not arise without a cause, because they are sometimes seen, so saying that is also unreasonable. Like this, it does not arise from itself, it does not arise from both, it does not arise from a ceased cause, nor does it arise from no cause, nor does the effect arise from considering the cause to be permanent, if you think so, then what contradiction is there in considering the cause to be other impermanent, and the effect arises from something that has not ceased? Why also prevent the effect from arising from that? For this, there is not even the slightest valid cognition that can harm it. Becoming something else, even just the thing itself cannot be established, like this, what will cause the effect to arise after it, that is called other. Even if that which is called other is not established before the effect arises, there is no harm to the thing itself. Some people say that because it is other, they have spoken of a valid cognition with harm, but that is also uncertain, because there is no contradiction between being other and being the producer. The way of not contradicting is also not able to be refuted, because it will lead to very absurd conclusions. If that is the case, seeing the qualities of some other poverty and stupidity, then all the applications of the reason of otherness will become accepting the qualities of poverty and so on. However, if the effect arises from something else that has not ceased and has not been cut off, then the cause and effect will arise simultaneously, which is harmful.
