Because that is for establishing the right path, and also contemplation is for the purpose of establishing that. Therefore, when valid cognition establishes that suchness, no one accepts an established tenet, so at that time, from the aspect of what is not established as a basis, one refutes with the unestablished subject, etc. However, this suchness is what the refuter himself previously established with valid cognition and then entered wanting to establish it for others, therefore, if one wants to say that it only exists prior to accepting an established tenet, that is also not reasonable. Because one does not accept an established tenet at the time of realizing oneself. The refuter himself, who previously did not accept an established tenet, by which valid cognition alone did he realize that suchness, if he makes others realize with that same valid cognition, how can it be said that he has accepted an established tenet? If one says that he himself previously established that suchness with valid cognition, then it is also not established that he makes others realize only with an established tenet, and others who possess realization will also not believe in the meaning without valid cognition merely because of those words. Therefore, just as it is at the time of establishing oneself, it is also the same at the time of showing it to others, so at all times, if one establishes that suchness only with valid cognition, then no one accepts an established tenet, so how can one speak of the unestablished subject, etc., from that aspect? Even if the proponent's desired establishment is established by the power of valid cognition, if one says that because one has accepted an established tenet, that harms it, what reason is there in this? When contemplating the suchness of things, no one relies on a subject that is known to be more correct than an established tenet, because such a subject is not established anywhere for the refuter and the re-refuter. For example, the subject of sound, etc., which Buddhists, etc., manifest and desire to be produced from the elements, etc., is not the same for the Vaisheshikas, etc., because they consider it to be a quality of space, etc. Therefore, if such a subject is not established, then no one will enter into establishment anywhere. However, if such a subject is established, then its property is only established for both parties.
