To indicate closeness, it is said: Because momentary sounds etc. are not causes, previously non-existent nature is like others, not like those that arise, such as space. Thus, etc., are explained. To refute, it is said: The nature of phenomena such as space is unreal, and its own nature is the same as that. Saying this, there is no harm to the meaning to be accomplished. Likewise, the nature of phenomena such as space also becomes non-existent. If both are to be established, what harm is there to the nature of phenomena? If the dharma to be established is prevented, it is said to be the harm to it. This is what is said. There is no doubt that this should be known. If it is not so, how do the wise prevent things such as what is imagined by others, such as being separated from the ability to act that pervades with sequence and momentariness, etc.? For those who have things, how can they not be truly prevented? For those who do not have, if this is not to be done because of the fault of the ground not being established, then how can anything not be prevented? Therefore, Yogacharas, etc., that is not an object in one, nor many in extremely small dust, not momentary, not existent, that contradicts sequence and non-sequence. How do they prevent external objects, etc., like this? If one wants to prevent the enumerated aggregates of substance, quality, action, generality, etc., which are imagined by evil heretics, how can the fault of the ground not being established, etc., not arise? But if it is said that it does not arise because it is only done by refutation? At that time, since refutation is not valid, how can these establish the name of non-existence, since it depends on validity? If it is said that refutation is also only valid, then how can the fault of the ground not being established, etc., not arise in that case? Those who have distinctions, it is not reasonable to establish faults, etc., that arise from the power of reason, only in a small part of their own tradition. However, for those who want to establish the prevention of external objects, etc., there is a nature of consciousness, a nature of phenomena, and only in that external

If one wants to assert that refuting the origination by I and Ishvara, etc., is to establish (this view), therefore, the fault of the unestablished basis, etc., will not apply to it. If so, then, if for the subject of the dharma, the emptiness of its one and many natures, and the emptiness of the capacity for effective action that pervades sequence and non-sequence, etc., are not extremely established, then how can the dharma to be established, which is manifestly desired for it, be established through it at that time? Even if it is not a homogeneous dharma, if there is no establishment, then the reason of mere non-origination cannot truly establish the establishment. If that is the case, then how can impermanence not be established for the object of the eye as the subject of the dharma called sound? If it is admitted that those are extremely established on it, then at that time, just like the outsiders and Ishvara, etc., consciousness itself, because it is devoid of the power and the dharma that pervades things such as one and many, will be extremely established as having no essence, because those are its dharmas. Other dharmas cannot be established on others, and things that are empty of power, etc., cannot establish anything either. If it is not so, then from it, the outsiders and Ishvara, etc., will not be established as having no essence either. If it is also extremely established as having no essence, then the fault of the unestablished basis, etc., is only next to it, and it is not a self-contradiction. Even if it has been established that the refutation of the origination of consciousness by outsiders and Ishvara, etc., is complete, the refutation of the nature of Ishvara, etc., which is imputed by others, cannot be established at all, because its aspect is different. If it is not established, then how can the term of non-existence, which has as its object the non-existence of Ishvara, etc., imputed by others, be established? If other dharmas are truly established, then it is not reasonable to apply other terms to others. Some ignorant people think that the three non-composites, such as cessation by individual analysis, are not producers of any of them, which are truly things...
