It is only so, because it is harmed by valid cognition. Regarding this, just as various illusions such as elephants arise due to the power of secret mantras and medicines, similarly, beings' births etc. also arise due to the power of karma and afflictions, and yogis' illusions such as yogic knowledge also arise only due to the power of their own accumulation of merit and wisdom, because due to the power of various conditions, that illusion also appears as various. In the Noble Perfection of Wisdom Sutra, it is also said: Some are emanated by Hearers, some are emanated by Bodhisattvas, some are emanated by Tathagatas, some are emanated by afflictions, some are emanated by karma. Subhuti, in this way, all phenomena are like illusions. The difference between yogis and ordinary people is this: they, like illusionists, completely know the illusions as they truly are, therefore they do not cling to them as real. As it is said in the Noble Compendium of All Dharmas: Just as some illusionists strive to liberate the illusion, because they know it is assembled, they do not cling to this illusion. The wise ones who have attained perfect enlightenment have long known beings in this way, knowing the three realms as illusions, they don the armor for the benefit of beings. Those children who, like spectators, cling to the illusions of birth etc. as they appear to be true, are called children because they cling to them in a reversed way. Therefore, in conventional truth, the yogic perception of yogis exists, it is not completely non-existent like a rabbit's horn. Therefore, there is no contradiction because the direct perception of all phenomena as selfless is existent. Although yogis are without essence in ultimate truth, they are established from the perspective of designation, just like ordinary people etc. As it is said in the Noble Teaching on the Two Truths: As it is said, although it is utterly unborn in ultimate truth, one should meditate on the path in conventional truth.

It is like saying that. Furthermore, it is unreasonable to say that some aspects, such as those devoid of other meanings, are apprehended directly, and from that, others are realized to be empty directly. Because this way is one being empty of one, not emptiness of characteristics. With emptiness of characteristics, in the ultimate sense, all phenomena are considered to be without inherent existence, because in the ultimate sense, how their own and common characteristics are established are empty. The emptiness of things, where one is empty of one, is not the ultimate truth, but it depends on conventional truth. Like this, all things in the ultimate sense are of one taste because they are unborn, so they are not without differences, but for children, they appear to be different from each other, just like in dreams and other states. Therefore, on that, in the nature of fame, this emptiness of one being empty of one is established by way of grasping them as things devoid of other meanings. It is not in the ultimate sense, truly speaking, like things of dreams and illusions, there is no difference between their own nature. Precisely for this reason, the Blessed One said that this is not dependent on the ultimate truth, because it is the extreme of all, so it is only to be abandoned. As it is said in the noble *Laṅkāvatāra Sūtra*: Thus, Mahāmati, this emptiness of one being empty of one is the most inferior of all extremes, therefore you should abandon it. What is the emptiness of the characteristics of all phenomena? It is established by realizing from the perspective of all phenomena giving rise to non-appearing wisdom, because the yogis do not perceive the aspects of the ultimate truth from how their own and common characteristics are established, becoming the object of focus. Therefore, the emptiness of one being empty of one is the extreme of all, although it is discussed by the childish beings relying on conceptualization, but that is completely irrelevant. Furthermore, that is to be truly realized by the direct perception of the yogis, such words do not make the wise completely believe, because there is no reason for that.

Saying "returning" is also unreasonable, because there is reason for this. Thus, the wise define direct perception as "direct perception is free from conceptualization and non-deceptive." Due to the power of habituation, even for non-existent things, a very clear awareness arises. For example, those afflicted by desire, sorrow, fear, madness, etc., through repeated habituation, will have a very clear appearance of awareness towards women, etc. Because they will see those things as if they are in front of them, and immediately make various movements of the body, etc. Therefore, as mentioned earlier, some who meditate on suchness may also have a very clear awareness of it. Any awareness that appears clearly must be non-conceptual, because just like a candle, it is impossible for the body to have a clear appearance when stirred by the wind of conceptual thought. Some practitioners, whatever they always practice with great respect, they will experience a clear awareness, the fruit born from the extreme end of the excellent fruit of those practices, for example, those afflicted by desire, etc. practicing women, etc. Some people have also practiced with constant respect for a long time, meditating on all phenomena as selfless, which is the nature cause. Moreover, whatever has valid cognition and has meaning as its object is non-deceptive. For example, through the way of convention, the awareness of fire, etc. arising from the definite sign of smoke, etc. The yogis' awareness of selflessness also has valid cognition and has meaning as its object, therefore it is only the nature cause. This having valid cognition will be explained below. Any awareness that arises with a clear appearance and is non-deceptive on anything, then that is the direct perception of that thing. For example, in convention, for form, etc., the eye consciousness of an undamaged man, etc. The yogis' awareness, with all phenomena as selfless as its object, is also clear and non-deceptive, therefore it is the nature cause. Thus, the yogis
