Because they are not contradictory, and because other scriptures are the very opposite of this, therefore, for those skilled ones who desire to attain the highest and most definitely excellent results, and to accomplish all perfections completely, they should completely abandon those and rely solely on the virtue that is taught in a single collection of scriptures. If this is the view, then, if you fully examine and accept the scriptures of the Blessed One, why do you not rely on the Middle Way that the Blessed One clearly taught in the Prajnaparamita and other scriptures? Even if you yourselves are unable to rely on it, nevertheless, why do you not accept it by the power of the fact that the venerable Nagarjuna clearly explained this with various collections of lights of reasoning? Therefore, the Blessed One prophesied that the teacher would teach it, and because he attained the first ground, in the Lankavatara Sutra and others. If this were to show it incorrectly, then the Blessed One would not have prophesied it in that way. Therefore, if you abandon the words of the teacher, it is the same as abandoning the words of the Blessed One. Therefore, since it possesses scriptural authority, it is unreasonable to abandon the path shown by the venerable Nagarjuna and rely on what is taught by non-aryans. We do not accept any ultimate connection for any of our words. Therefore, prohibiting it does not lead to non-acceptance. However, this is shown in terms of conventions by the intention of the speaker who is skilled in language. It is not possible to be completely certain that the words spoken by a person without error due to meaning and circumstances, etc., do not have the ultimate connection that the spoken words want to express, otherwise all conventions would be cut off. Since the words of non-hatred, non-delusion, and non-attachment show the true meaning, not all words are merely false meanings, because this is also certain in one's own mind. Therefore, any teaching that is completely purified by the examination of the three ways, and is determined to be good in the beginning, middle, and end, is not deceptive.

Therefore, it should be relied upon by the wise. We do not say that the words of the Bhagavan are प्रमाण (pramāṇa, valid cognition, प्रमाण, pramaana, प्रमाण) itself in order to prove this to those non-Buddhist heretics who contradict the teachings of the Tathagata. However, if the meaning of the scriptures is examined, it is fully shown to be the source for those who possess that scripture. It is also unreasonable to say that there is no teaching of the Bhagavan to show it. For example, the Bhagavan has said to rely on the sutras of definitive meaning, not those of interpretable meaning. What is definitive meaning? It is that which is accompanied by प्रमाण (pramāṇa, valid cognition, प्रमाण, pramaana, प्रमाण) and spoken in terms of ultimate truth, because it cannot be led from there to any other place. The non-arising of all phenomena is also truly established by Therefore, it is called the ultimate truth because it is endowed with reason itself. As it is said in the Holy Collection of Dharmas: "Non-arising is true. Other dharmas such as arising are not true, they are false and deceptive dharmas." In the Holy Two Truths Sutra, it is also said: "Son of the gods, in reality, the ultimate truth is non-arising." This is a distinction made for all defiled and purified dharmas, not just for some. Similarly, in that same text, it is said: "Son of the gods, for example, the space inside an earthenware vessel and the space inside a precious vessel are in reality only the realm of space, and there is no difference between them. Son of the gods, similarly, whatever is defiled is in reality utterly unborn; whatever is purified is also in reality utterly unborn; samsara is also in reality utterly unborn; even up to nirvana is also in reality utterly unborn, and there is no difference between them. Why is that? Because in reality all dharmas are utterly unborn." Therefore, this non-arising is also called the ultimate truth because it is in accordance with the ultimate truth, but it is not actually so, because in reality the ultimate truth has transcended all elaboration.
