It is declared that clinging to the view of emptiness is incurable, as stated in the Sutra of Light Increase: "Clinging to the view of self as great as Mount Sumeru is superior, but clinging to the view of emptiness by those with pride is not." Therefore, in order not to become incurable, the Blessed One, in the Noble Explanation of the Thought, explained the characteristics of emptiness, namely, Maitreya, the nature of dependence and the nature of perfect accomplishment, with universal defilement and purification of the nature of complete imputation, and whatever is completely separated in all aspects, without focusing on it, this is said to be all the characteristics of emptiness. Whatever the ultimate reality that the noble ones can individually realize undoubtedly exists. Otherwise, what is stated in the Noble Explanation of the Thought is not without things. What is that thing? It is the inexpressible nature that is perfectly awakened by the wisdom of the noble ones and the vision of the noble ones. For the sake of perfectly awakening that inexpressible nature of Dharma, the names of conditioned and unconditioned are established, which contradicts what you said. What you say is that in the ultimate truth, the vehicle of the Mahayana nature is only one, and the rest are not, which also contradicts reason and scripture. Because various forms of practice are seen, sentient beings are attached to various faiths. Therefore, some seem to be devoted to benefiting others. Others are happy only to cause suffering to others for no reason. Others are attached to their own interests and small pleasures and are jealous of others. Similarly, some are focused on accomplishing their own perfect happiness and avoid harming and suffering others. Some only desire the happiness of samsara and perform virtuous deeds. Similarly, others avoid desiring the happiness of existence and strive for their own liberation.

Some others think only to liberate others, and focus on the cause of the state of complete enlightenment, such as giving and other perfections. Therefore, one should contemplate immeasurable practices in this way, and infer the characteristics of the desires of sentient beings as the difference of their causes, because the difference of the fruit is caused by the difference of the cause. Because one sees that oneself enters only through the gate of desire, it is certain that only faith is the cause of entering. The difference in the faith of sentient beings is impossible without the difference in lineage, therefore, since the lineages of sentient beings are different, how can they be consistent? Through the gate of the difference in practice caused by lineage, the characteristics and fruits of the vehicle are also diverse, therefore, through reason, it is certain that the vehicles are diverse. In the Sutra of the Collection of Elements and others, it is also taught that sentient beings have diverse elements. How could the power of the Blessed One to know diverse elements be possible without diverse elements? In the Holy Lankavatara Sutra, the five lineages of realization are also briefly explained. In the Teaching of the Holy Inexhaustible Intelligence, it is also said that these three are the vehicles that will definitely lead to liberation, namely the Hearer Vehicle, the Solitary Buddha Vehicle, and the Great Vehicle. Similarly, in many other sutras, the three vehicles of Hearers and others are taught, therefore, from the perspective of scriptural authority, it is also established that the vehicles are diverse. In the Holy Lotus Sutra of the Good Law and others, what is taught that the vehicle is only one should be regarded as having a hidden meaning, because it is taught that it is intended for equality and so on. The hidden meaning is this: the vehicle of the nature of the realm of phenomena is not different, therefore the vehicle is only one, because the vehicle is to be traversed. Or, the individuals who traverse, such as Hearers, are the same in terms of selflessness, and there is no other similarity, therefore the vehicle is only one. Or, the nature of liberation is not different, therefore the vehicle is only one. Or,
