If one speaks considering from your own perspective, then there is no fault at that time. However, if considering according to the self-nature that is renowned in the world, then what will prevent the contradiction with seeing and so on at that time? If it is said that from one's own perspective, because it is separate from the arising of the characteristic of transforming reality into something else, therefore it is unborn. Even so, there is no fault, because all things are without function. If it is said that it is because the Lord and so on are not generated by others. Even so, it is not that it is not accepted, because the Lord and so on are not accepted at all. In that case, in this way, the meaning of words such as primordially peaceful and naturally completely liberated should also only be analyzed and investigated. Furthermore, other contradictions with many sutras are also apparent. As it is said in the "Arya Saṃdhinirmocana Sūtra": "Therefore, I, considering from the absence of characteristics and self-nature, have taught that all dharmas are unborn." It is said that the absence of characteristics and self-nature is also only established on the self-nature of the completely imputed. From faith in the Mahāyāna, a son of good family, a Bodhisattva who does not properly discriminate the Dharma according to the literal meaning will not become a source of faith in the Mahāyāna. Not according to the literal meaning, but properly attending to the meaning, will become a source of faith in the Mahāyāna. Son of good family, for example, a Bodhisattva who improperly discriminates the Dharma according to the literal meaning will generate twenty-eight non-noble views, namely, the view of signs, the view of viewing as non-view, the view of slandering terms, the view of slandering afflictions, the view of slandering suchness, and so on, extensively explained, and then said, son of good family, what is the view of signs? I said, considering from the self-nature arising from conditions, whatever proclaims that all dharmas are emptiness, one clings to it according to the literal meaning, and also clings to the afflicted dharmas and the purified dharmas as emptiness, thereby grasping the sign of emptiness.

Therefore, it becomes a view of non-existence, hence it is called the view of characteristics. Among them, the view that takes non-view as view is to see Bodhisattvas as non-existent. For this, if one clings to the literal meaning, it will not become a perception of view. Whatever view sees as emptiness, that is its great view. Therefore, it is called the view that takes non-view as view. Among them, the view that slanders terminology, the view that slanders all defilements, and the view that slanders Suchness, if one slanders everything with the view of characteristics, then one will also cling to the view that slanders terminology, one will also cling to the view that slanders all defilements, and one will also cling to the view that slanders Suchness. It is said that, therefore, all views are based on the view of characteristics. It is only extensively stated. In the noble *Laṅkāvatāra Sūtra* it is also said: The object of imagination does not exist, but the dependent is existent. On the extremes of addition and subtraction, thought will be destroyed. By the nature of the imagined, all dharmas are unborn. Relying on the dependent, the discriminations of people arise. It is said that, from this, the nature of the dependent, dependent arising, is ultimately existent. For this, by the nature of the completely imagined, it is taught as unborn, etc., and this will be shown. Again, in the same it says: There is no self in the aggregates, and there are no aggregates in the self. How are those not like permanence? Those are not non-existent either. It is said that, with these two negations, it is also shown that the aggregates are existent. In the Great Emptiness Sutra it is also said: Karma exists, and maturation also exists, but the agent is not seen. This also contradicts what was said before. In this way, if karma also exists in the ultimate truth, and maturation also exists, then at that time all dharmas will not become without self-nature. But if it exists in the conventional truth, then at that time the agent also exists in the conventional truth, therefore it should not be said that the agent is not seen. Again, in the noble *Laṅkāvatāra Sūtra* it says: Just as children discriminate
