It arises in dependence upon this, and as soon as it arises, it is destroyed, and it is said that there is no appearance of what is to be known and what knows. Doubts arise regarding the tenets of those who say that the appearances that manifest from the maturation of the beginningless stream are also like the nature of illusion due to confusion. The extremely subtle particles of the aggregates such as form, and the substances and qualities, etc., are spoken of by those who follow the views of the superior and the non-superior, because they are devoid of the nature of what is to be known and what knows, they are merely like a city of gandharvas, a wheel of fire, an emanation, a dream, an illusion, and a reflection of the moon in water. These appearances that appear to the consciousness that considers the object to be true are also manifested by the power of the complete maturation of the habit of clinging to things that arise in beginningless existence. However, are those realities of those things true? Or, if it is the only unexamined one, then consider this joyful promise. This tenet is to be understood because the valid cognition and the scriptures are very clear, and it is also a remedy for the bad clinging to limitless objects, so it is very pure. In this way, it refutes the existence of things such as extremely subtle particles, and also shows that it contradicts the nature of what is to be known and what knows. The valid cognition mentioned earlier makes this principle very clear. This principle also has scriptural authority, as it is said in the Lankavatara Sutra: "Because of the beginningless habituation of the mind, the mind is like an image. Although it appears as the form of meaning, it does not truly see the meaning as it is. The person, the cause, the aggregates, the conditions, and the dust particles, the chief and the lord who act, are all discriminated by the Mind-Only. Meaning does not exist, it is only the nature of mind. Seeing external objects is wrong. If one examines with reason, the grasper and the grasped will cease." Wise people rely on this principle to eliminate the inverted clinging to self and what belongs to self, and to the grasper and the grasped, and to those with various distinctions. However, there is still a little to be examined here: are these appearances truly existent, or are they the only unexamined ones like images, etc.?

This is a joy. What will this become? If appearances are truly understood, will they become many, or will they become one? Because they are contradictory, they will undoubtedly change separately. Since they are not different from the true appearance, the appearances will become many like the nature of the appearance itself, or since they are not different from the single appearance, the appearances will also become one like the nature of the appearance itself, which is difficult to avoid. Because contradictory dharmas exist, in reality, appearance and appearance itself will become different. Another fault is also stated: If appearances are not different, then movement and non-movement, etc., if one moves, everything will move, etc., will become a fallacy, difficult to accept. To say that they are not different will become showing that that is it. Therefore, if one appearance grasps the action of moving, etc., or becomes the nature of yellow, etc., then the rest will also become such appearances. If it is not so, it will undoubtedly become diverse. This fallacy also greatly shows the similarity if one also accepts knowledge with appearances in the aspect of external objects. Also, regarding the way of external objects, if one does not separate from appearances in that way, then everything will enter into the dharma of one, which is unavoidable. If it exists in dissimilar dharmas, then that itself will definitely become different. Some say that like happiness, etc., the appearances of blue, etc., are also only the nature of experience, and those consciousnesses are many, and those are also completely homogeneous, arising like heterogeneous consciousnesses. For those people, whichever two minds arise without before and after, this is not a place, there is no opportunity, etc. Similarly, it is difficult to avoid contradicting the scriptural statement that all sentient beings are of one stream of consciousness. If one wants to say that it was spoken with the ripening consciousness as the main focus, if that is the case, this contradicts the customs of the previous teachers. For those homogeneous consciousnesses, it will definitely become like this. Like this, various discriminations are correctly understood to arise in sequence, which is contradictory. At that time, if one takes the dissimilar aspect and the opposing mind as the main focus

The simultaneous arising of earth and mind is prevented, and I say this with very clear reason. The sound "ཅིག་ (Tibetan, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, literal Chinese meaning)" belongs to the synonym of "འབའ་ཞིག་ (Tibetan, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, literal Chinese meaning)," but it is not an individual word, because for those, there is the nature of mind that is free from self and mine, the grasped and the grasper, etc., and there is nothing else, which will be shown. Therefore, the consciousness of fruition, appearing as different forms of body, enjoyment, and dwelling, becomes different, and does not cause any harm. If asked, is this system without flaws? The answer is no. If, like the number of forms, consciousness is admitted, then at that time it will become like dust particles, and this examination is difficult to refute. If many similar consciousnesses also arise, like the nature of extremely small dust particles existing without gaps, then at that time, for consciousnesses as well, it will become difficult to refute, just like the examination previously done for dust particles. Like this, for the consciousness that wants to surround the center with dust particles, with what nature does it tend towards one, does it also tend towards another with the same nature? Or does it tend towards other aspects? This fault of differentiation is that. If one does not cling to the non-gapped homogeneous dust particles, then one will mistakenly think that the coarse aggregate is one, and for the awareness of the appearance of blue, etc., which is not experienced without gaps, mistakenly thinking that it is one, what is the difference? Because some admit that the non-gapped appearance of blue, etc., is the nature of extremely small dust particles, while others say that it is the nature of awareness, the fault is the same and will not exceed it. For those who say that like a mani jewel, one consciousness can take various natures, expressing doubt: If the various is one, then is it like the body of a person wearing sky clothes? This is the view of holding sky clothes. With things of multiple natures, wanting to express, so it is considered nature. Among the two ways of "ཅིག་ (Tibetan, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, literal Chinese meaning)" or sequentially, there is no other function of words. If asked, does it depend on that or is it like that? The answer is that it is also unreasonable, because the various is not one nature, various jewels, etc...
