That which is called "various" refers to different forms, which contradicts the nature of being one. As many forms as there are, so many natures there are; the characteristic of different natures is that things are different. Furthermore, if variousness is the nature of oneness, then how can the various appearances as entities, and obscurations and non-obscurations, etc., these differences, arise? If the essence of various things such as precious gems and radiance is the nature of oneness, then it contradicts the appearance of different forms. It is not a delusion of the nature of different forms, but it is similar to the different forms of precious gems. Because there is no difference, obscuring one would also obscure all. Similarly, realizing one would also lead to realizing all, and so on. If these forms do not exist in essence, then in reality, the formless form appears due to the mistaken cognition of consciousness. That consciousness is actually like a pure crystal ball, not becoming the distinctions of blue and other forms. Even so, due to the power of the ripening of beginningless inverted habits, various forms appear, just as for those whose eyes are disturbed by mantras, etc., lumps of clay, etc., appear as horses and elephants, etc. If they do not exist, then how can they be perceived so clearly? Knowledge that is different from its entity is not like that. If you say, even if they do not actually exist, there is no reason why they cannot be clearly cognized, then the answer is: In this way, in whatever thing, if there is no entity, then the cognition of it does not exist. Just as feeling happiness, etc., in things that are not happiness, and feeling whiteness in things that are not white. If in this, what contradiction is there between the dharma to be proven and the opposite dharma, and the dharma to be proven? If so, refuting from inconsistent aspects would lead to no room for doubt, then the answer is: In this form, the meaning of knowledge is not actually reasonable, because it is separate from the subject of knowledge. Like flowers in the sky, etc. Whatever consciousness appears as the nature of non-material essence is not imputed, but is the meaning of the word of awareness. Flowers in the sky, etc., like blue and other forms, are not the essence of consciousness.

Because it is separate from the entity, it is impossible. Because it does not exist, it has no power, and establishment is also not possible, like a rabbit's horn. It does not generate self-appearance consciousness, and power is not permissible. For the aspect that does not have the power to generate self-appearing consciousness, even mere establishment cannot have the meaning of cognition. The non-existent rabbit's horn will not generate self-appearing consciousness, so it will not become the cause for establishing cognition. This reasoning should also be analyzed here in other places, that is, that aspect, why does it exist and can be definitely perceived? What connection does it have with consciousness? It is not the self-nature of selflessness, nor is it born from it. It is not the self-nature of consciousness, because it would become the fault of existing like consciousness, or it would become the fault of not having the ability to know like an aspect. The non-existent nature is also not born from consciousness, because it does not have the nature of being able to be generated. Even if it is born from it, because there is before and after, it will become the fault of not having simultaneous cognition, so this is temporarily put aside here. The aspect that is cognized simultaneously with consciousness, if there is no cause, then by what, can this occasional arising become possible? If it has a cause, then by what, can it be freed from the control of others? The aspect is non-existent, so it is actually without cause. If there is no cause, then it is impossible to arise occasionally, because there is no dependence. If you admit that this fault will occur, and admit that it has a cause, then if that is the case, as soon as you admit existence, if there is none, then how can you answer for becoming the control of the other that does not arise? Outside of dependent origination, the control of others does not exist separately. Other than the nature born from conditions, existence is not something else either. If you admit that there is no aspect, then another fault is also stated: if it does not exist, then that consciousness will also become without aspect. Like a pure crystal ball, consciousness will not be strongly perceived. The nature of eye consciousness, etc., is separated from aspects such as blue, because a pure crystal ball that is placed nearby without change is invisible. If there is no aspect that becomes internal and external, then by force, only this one will become the object of cognition. It will also not become uncertain because of mirages, etc., because it transcends...
