Thus I have heard. The meaning of the Sutra has already been explained. The ultimate truth is expressed by the nature of speech, it is not what is to be expressed, and will be explained below. If it cannot be encompassed by the two truths, then it can only be unestablished, no need to say more. Whatever is the object of mind is the conventional truth, if someone says that this is not the definition of the ultimate truth, then, "Complete purity is also true, is it reason or non-reason, please think." The meaning of this sentence is, please think, this is not reason at all. Why? Because, precisely because of this it is said that mind becomes the object. If you ask why, the answer is, because it is self-awareness. If someone says, if it is the nature of the agent, action, and behavior, then it is not self-awareness, if that is the case, then it will become the nature of consciousness. If someone says, precisely because it is the nature of consciousness, it is not like that, then, then it will become that all things are consciousness. If someone says, this is the nature of self-awareness, then, because it is the object of mind, it has been admitted that it is the conventional truth, put it aside for the time being. In order to allow those who have a wrong understanding of the conventional truth to understand through detailed distinctions, the conventional truth is divided into two types: true and untrue. Among them, "That which is devoid of the meaning of investigation, and arises merely relying on things, should be known as the true conventional truth." and so on. The first meaning of the word "etc." is to include dwelling etc. The latter meaning is to include the transformation of the person etc. Truly, it should be combined with each word. The reason for merely being a thing itself is the ability to function, this is the same as what appears, but it is not the same as the true reality. What arises relying on causes and conditions is considered as what appears. Cause refers to the non-common agent. Condition refers to the common. If directly examined, then condition is also cause. Why is this called the true conventional truth? Like this, for the consciousness of children and above, it has been said how much meaning there is, son

Regarding the knowledge of things like pots, it can be understood that the appearance is the true conventional truth. As for how it appears, the text mentions "in accordance." In accordance with whom? The text mentions "even children," meaning from the wise to children. That is to say, for those who possess wisdom firmly established by scriptures, the appearance of things like pots, as seen by children, is the true conventional truth. And the state of not appearing in its original form, which is imposed by the power of scriptures and so on, is called the untrue conventional truth. As for how it appears, the text mentions "from causes," meaning from the collection of causes such as the eye, or from the complete maturation of habits accustomed to error, or thinking that it does not arise from scriptures. This shows that the appearance of forms and so on, which appears by the power of causes, is the conventional truth, not the ultimate truth. Why is it called the true conventional truth? The text mentions "because things exist in accordance with the appearance of knowledge." If so, wouldn't true arising and so on also become conventional truths? The text mentions "true arising and so on do not appear." If they do not appear, how are they imposed? The text mentions "In any case, it is only imposed based on tenets." "In any case" refers to the power of wrong discrimination from beginningless time; that is how it is. If it is not so, then for the phenomena of true arising and so on, there will undoubtedly be faults. Why? The text mentions "because no one disputes the part that appears to the knowledge of both the proponent and the opponent." If someone disputes this part? The text mentions "If they dispute, they will be harmed by direct perception and so on." The word "and so on" includes inference and so on.
