It is said that, because obstructing arising and so on, it does not pervade obstructing non-arising and so on. Because there is no obstruction, what can reverse the obstruction of arising and so on? If non-arising and so on are reversed, what can make arising and so on exist? Where non-arising and so on exist, there is no obstruction of arising and so on. However, it exists by the very nature of non-arising and so on. If it is certain that there is no arising and so on, then the obstruction of arising and so on also exists. If that does not exist, arising and so on will exist. With such words, this reasoning is also contradictory. If that is the case, then the son of a barren woman and so on will also become existent. Because it needs to be supplemented, it is said that there is no reason for it to exist. The so-called "that exists" is that arising and so on exist, because there is no reason. How there is no reason will be explained below. Having thus established the meaning, in order to conclude, therefore, this is only conventional truth, ultimately there is no arising. And so on. Although it is ultimate meaning, it is not ultimate. It is said to strive for the ultimate meaning. Why is it not ultimate? Therefore, it is said, "In the ultimate, there is no duality." Duality is arising and so on, and non-arising and so on. In order to combine this meaning with the scriptures, therefore, that is not empty, not non-empty, not existent nor non-existent, not non-arising, not arising. And so on, the Bhagavan said. It is not empty, because in the ultimate, there is no object to be negated, so it is also clear that there is no obstruction. It is not non-empty and so on, because it is obstructed by "many do not make one thing" and so on. Why is there no duality in the ultimate? Because that is without elaboration. It is said, "That is it." "That is it" is the remaining part. It is explained by "That is indeed free from all nets of conceptualization." Therefore, here it is said that elaboration is the net of conceptualization. Another way of saying it is that elaboration is the movement of speech, which is also aroused by the net of conceptualization.

No. Therefore, if there is no universal instigator, it also shows that there is no elaboration to be instigated. Because that which transcends the realm of language is truly authentic. Therefore, it is said, "Manjushri asked about the true meaning, and the Buddha's son remained silent." This is easy to understand. Which Dharma gate is without the two, such as arising and not arising? That is non-duality. That is both non-duality and the gate of all Dharmas, such as the ten powers and fearlessness, because it is the gate through which the realization of them arises. The words are arranged as "that which is shown." Entering non-duality is precisely not speaking, because this is how one enters. What is non-duality? It is that into which letters, sounds, and representations do not enter. A letter is a syllable, a sound is a word, and a representation is speech, because it makes the meaning manifest. Therefore, that itself causes the meaning to be understood, and not something else. This is separating the words. Because this way is also possible, sound is also preceded by letters, and it is also sound, so it is the sound of letters. Representation is preceded by those two, and it is also representation, therefore it is the representation of the sound of wisdom. One should understand that only this is the case. If the nature of other's independence, which is separate from those two, were to be the only one, then that would not be reasonable. Therefore, it is said, "If the reality separate from the two, the object of other's independence, is truly real, if asked why the Victorious One's son, then he remains without speaking." The two are the apprehended and the apprehender. Because it is dominated and produced by other causes and conditions, it is the independence of others. If one thinks, "Why is it unreasonable not to say anything?" then it is said, "Beings who understand signs and know reason, howsoever they may, express their own realization, therefore not speaking is unreasonable." The expression of one's own realization is expressed conventionally in any case. Who says it? It is said, "Those who understand signs," etc., that is, people. What kind of people?

It is known by those who understand the divisions, and by those who are skilled in making it understood. The rest is not explained because the words are simple. If it is said that it cannot be expressed even by conventional expression, if it is not so, then when it cannot be expressed even by conventional expression, what is expressed by its own perfect nature? It is sound. Who expresses it? It is the logicians, such as the teacher Dignāga and others. Please explain clearly how that becomes logical. If it is said that it cannot be shown by its own nature, therefore nothing is said, if that is the case, then how is it that we say, "We have already explained our own teachings"? If it is said that they show by falsely establishing a universal nature, then why doesn't the noble Vimalakīrti also show it in the same way? For what reason does he not say anything? Because only that ultimate truth, even the mere term "habit of expression," does not exist, because of what? Because the place of expression of knowledge and existence, and suchness and ultimate truth, etc., is also non-existent there, because there is no reason to enter. If that is the case, then how is it that the word "that" is used to make the ultimate truth expressible, and it is said, "There is not even a habit of expression"? That is not a fault, because ignorant wise people say that the ultimate truth has a habit of expression. Do not say that, we are refuting that, we are not using the word "that," or others are expressing it, we are only refuting the discrimination of others. The word "habit" in the expression is mainly expressing abandonment. The word "only" is for addition. Therefore, asking is also, not speaking is for extensive explanation. The word "also" is the meaning of addition, it is only asking or only abiding or only extensively explaining. The word "extensive explanation" is that it cannot be shown by a universal nature or by an individual nature or by a detailed distinction. If the ultimate
