Furthermore, when saying "born in conventional truth," the meaning of the words of the wise is: birth is birth, it's wonderful! This birth is conventional truth, but if there is no birth in ultimate truth, because there is no birth, if it is said that things are unborn, then what undesired thing will be established by this saying of what is already established? Following reason, one can also say abiding and so on in the same way. Those are unrelated, not the meaning of words, but conceptualizations, and one should understand that the opponent is ruined from this conventional designation. If examined by reason, it is not true, and other than that, it is true. Therefore, how can one thing be both true and untrue? If examined by reason, it is not real, and other than that, it is real. Therefore, how can one thing be both real and unreal? The intermediate verses are finished. Even so, unborn in ultimate truth, if this meaning of the words follows reason, then there is no birth. Apply it to others in the same way. How to apply this, like this, there is nothing in reality. Emptiness in reality, etc., to these also, one should follow the path of reason, then there is no existence, and there is no non-emptiness in those, etc. Others, with the birth of things, etc., relying on the path of reason, establish their tenets, which is to prevent, so what harm is there in this? The intermediate verses are finished. Therefore, whatever is conventional suchness, that is what is accepted by ultimate truth. Why? Because there is no difference. Conventional truth and ultimate truth, these two are unfinished. The reason also abides as it appears. The reason is also only conventional truth because it is the nature of what appears, the reason does not enter into anything else. Like this, in the minds of the two opponents, how much of the appearing part there is, relying on those, one understands the subject, the predicate, etc. At that time, inference arises, but not when it is otherwise. Therefore, those who speak of reason, when they speak like that, who can prevent them? Inference and what is to be inferred, this, in the minds of the opponents of names and the subsequent opponents, the appearing part

It arises by establishing entities, qualities, and examples in their own nature. Since inference cannot arise from the non-establishment of both entities and qualities, it is not the case elsewhere. Those who abide in different philosophical systems do not have the same understanding of anything. Those who abide in such entities should acknowledge that they contemplate whether something exists or not solely based on such reasons. Therefore, if those who speak with reason also cause inference to arise in this way, who would obstruct it? Because this has been established as sameness, the scope of this is not increased here. For that very reason, the Sutra also says, "Subhuti, worldly convention is also other, and ultimate reality is not other. Whatever is the suchness of worldly convention is the suchness of ultimate reality." Alternatively, some consider the negation of birth and so forth to be ultimate reality, while others consider it to be merely true. Even so, this Sutra passage is well-quoted. As it says: "What is considered ultimate by others, that is the conventional for others. What others consider a horse, is like others considering a wife." It is said. If, by the power of reasoning, there is no birth even conventionally, and if it is present even conventionally, and cannot be completely severed by another consciousness, then, as before, the nature of cause and effect is uncertain. Many do not make one thing. If one thinks that it is not reasonable because "many do not make one thing" and so forth are only due to the previous reason, then the answer is: That is true, therefore it is said that this exists as it appears. Because of what? Because it is so, the Bhagavan said that birth or anything else exists as it appears. The Tathagata is the ever-unborn Dharma, and all Dharmas are also the same as the Sugata. Those with childish minds grasp at signs and practice Dharmas that do not exist in the world. Thus it is said. Thus, because of the nature of how it appears, there is no examination of this. If convention is as it appears, then how is that said?
