It is like preventing the blueness of the son of a widow, and so on. Even if the truth is not prevented, it will not become existent, such as birth, because prevention does not pervade the absence of birth, and so on, and also because there is no reason for it to exist. Therefore, this is conventional truth; in reality, it is said to be unborn, and so on. It is the meaning of truth, but not truth itself. It is approaching the meaning of truth. Why? Because in reality there is no duality, therefore it is not emptiness. It is not non-emptiness, not existence and non-existence, not non-birth, not birth and non-birth. Thus and so forth, the Bhagavan said. These are intermediate verses. Why is that? Because it is without elaboration. It is completely free from all nets of conceptualization. Therefore, Manjushri truthfully asked, and the son of the Buddhas remained silent. The sutra says: Then, Manjushri, the youth, said to Licchavi Vimalakirti: Son of good family, we have each explained our own teachings, please also, with courage, explain the gate of the non-dual Dharma. Licchavi Vimalakirti remained silent. Then, Manjushri, the youth, praised Licchavi Vimalakirti, saying: Son of good family, that in which there is no entry of letters, words, and expressions, that is the entry into the non-dual gate of the Bodhisattvas, as you have said, well done, well done. The thing that is separate from the two, if it is a truly dependent thing, if asked, why would the son of the Buddhas remain silent? People who understand language and reason, in any case, will express their own realization, therefore it is unreasonable not to speak. If it is not so, then the ultimate perfection of the nature of all sounds, what would a logician say? How can reason be clearly explained? Because on that, there is no content to be expressed. Therefore, even if asked, it is widely explained by remaining silent. These are intermediate verses. The Bodhisattva who abides in the contemplation of Dharma following Dharma in all Dharmas, from dependent arising does not...

It is not contradictory to say that even a tiny particle of the Dharma belonging to it cannot be seen completely and truly, because the Dharma is spoken of. Moreover, conventional truth is shown to be of two kinds: appearing similar, but able to perform a function, because of being able and not able. Because of being true and untrue, the distinction of conventional truth is made. This is what is said. Although the appearance of a clear consciousness appears similar, it is determined that acting as it appears is deceptive and not deceptive, therefore the world understands that water and mirages are true and untrue. In reality, the two are the same in being without self-nature. It abides as it appears. Deception and non-deception in performing a function are also just as it is said, and this is also because of being without self-nature. Dependent arising, the mere thing that accomplishes the function of meaning, is acknowledged by both you and me. What difference is there between us then? Indeed. If even you, illogically, think as it appears, then we are the same. If it is logical, then everything is confused. If you also think as it appears, then we are the same, so how can we be arrogant? If you admit that this is logical, then we do not want that. Because logically, everything is like being struck and scattered, therefore you have no way for the things that are determined as cause and effect. Like this, a formless consciousness should not be attached to an object. Because the form is not valid, and because it is not reasonable, it is not other. Because in various self-natures, how can the appearances be true for the one appearing thing? Because its oneness is lost. If that is the case, then direct perception and, the invisible result and, the cause will not be established. Please speak of another appearance. If the cause and effect themselves have some method of wisdom, then please speak it, we prostrate, how can we be stingy? Therefore, even the all-knowing one, for the moment of another's freedom, the cause and effect clearly, a little
