Only through wealth can one realize the ultimate, thereby establishing selflessness. Illusions and the like are also so for ordinary people. It is established in both, so it is a metaphor. Logical proof is also established in both. Therefore, the wisdom of ordinary people is shown to be mistaken through metaphors. For yogis as well, it is so, until when? If all things are selfless, then how is it for the liberation of sentient beings? Those who realize that very reality also engage in giving and so on. Giving and so on are also because of selflessness. It is said: Because it is not used for the sake of the fruit, the fruit is to be accomplished, because it is not used for it, and is fully invested in its cause. Selflessness is also because it does not cling to the three circles, so it becomes the cause of the fruit. Conventional truth is the means, and ultimate truth arises from the means, therefore, the two truths are acknowledged. Otherwise, there is no need, what is it? Yogis also do not see the ultimate truth at the very beginning, but through the difference of familiarizing with the means, so there is no contradiction. Then, what are the things that yogis see as illusions? If ordinary people also see it, then how do they argue at that time? It is said: Ordinary people in the world not only see things, but also think that things exist, are real. If one clings to reality, like a yogi, it is not like an illusion. This is the reason for the argument between yogis and ordinary people. Yogis deny reality. Just as people only see the form of illusory elephants and so on, while the illusionist sees the wood and so on themselves. Then, how are things that are established by direct perception hidden from all beings? It is said: What is said to be the manifest form and sound and so on is what is praised in the world, and it is the ultimate that is established through valid cognition. Because it is established through nominal direct perception and so on. The Treasury says: 'What is conceptualized and recollected is called non-conceptual.' Therefore, root consciousness is only conceptual. Otherwise, if the object of the senses is established at that time, a child would also recognize it, then what wisdom is it? ' So on and so forth. Then, if there is no cause, fame will not arise either.

If fame exists, how can it be false? The answer is: It is like impure things being considered pure, etc. For those who are deluded by desire regarding the impure forms of women, etc., a thought of purity arises. This is indeed false because they are attached to something that is not what it is. The word "etc." also includes the idea of considering impermanence, etc., as permanent, happiness, and self, and it is also the same for forms, etc. Then, what the Blessed One said, "All Brahmins" refers to the five aggregates, twelve sense bases, and eighteen realms. And elsewhere, it says, "All conditioned things are momentary. Where is the act of not abiding?" and so on. If the nature is like illusion, etc., how can the nature of momentariness be established? If it is not truly existent because it has no nature, why is it not ultimately existent? The answer is: The world, etc. For those beings who are attached to real things, teaching the aggregates, etc., is to negate the self and to gradually lead them into emptiness. Otherwise, those without the capacity will turn back in fear. Because of knowing the thoughts of sentient beings, it is taught out of compassion, not ultimately. Therefore, it is said, "How do the Buddhas, by the power of meaning, speak of self and what belongs to self? The aggregates, sense bases, and realms are also spoken of in that way, therefore they are spoken of by meaning." Then, how is momentariness? The answer is: Momentariness is not suchness, because it has no nature. Teaching momentariness, etc., is according to the capacity of those to be tamed. Others say: If momentariness is ultimately true, is it also conventionally true? If so, it contradicts the appearance of the world. Because things appear to the world as not momentary. The answer is: The conventional truth of yoga is faultless, and there is no fault of contradicting appearance, because the conventional truth of yogis is momentary. Because for yogis who meditate on the selflessness of persons, it appears as momentary. That is also conventional truth, because it is said that the mind is conventional truth. There is also no contradiction with appearance, because here that kind of appearance is prevented. Then, if momentariness, etc., is conventional truth, why only yogis can...
